We started the day with a fresh, crisp morning walk — everyone wrapped up warm and enjoyed the cool autumn air and beautiful seasonal colours. There were lots of smiles and cheerful chatter along the way!

We were also joined by a little helper today, as it’s half term! It was lovely to have an extra pair of hands (and lots of youthful energy) joining in with the activities and brightening everyone’s day. 👧💛

It was then time to get creative with some Halloween crafts and puzzles. Our tables were full of laughter, concentration, and plenty of spooky fun as we made decorations and tested our brains with themed puzzles.

After a tasty lunch, the afternoon was all about games and giggles! We enjoyed friendly rounds of bowls, Jenga, and balloon tennis — with lots of cheering and gentle competition. Of course, no day would be complete without a good old sing-along to finish things off. 🎶
A lovely day full of fun, friendship, and autumn spirit! 💛

Storm Benjamin was in full force today, so we decided to stay cosy indoors and keep dry! The morning was filled with laughter and creativity as we got involved in some Halloween crafts — using shaving foam, glue, and food colouring to make spooky and colourful designs.

After a delicious lunch, some of us enjoyed a friendly game of cards while others relaxed with the newspaper. In the afternoon, the room was full of energy as we played a few lively rounds of balloon tennis, followed by a cheerful singalong to end the day on a high note.

Despite the storm outside, it was a bright and joyful day inside filled with smiles, creativity, and good company!

We made the most of the mild weather this morning with a refreshing walk—always a great way to start the day while the sun was on our side. 🚶‍♀️🌤️

Once we got back, it was time to get creative! 🎨 We got stuck into some beautiful diamond art, relaxing knitting, and even some wonderful animal drawings. The creativity was flowing all around!

After a tasty lunch, it was time to unwind and treat ourselves. 💅 Hand therapy and nail painting gave us that pampered feeling, followed by some time in the allotment tending to our plants 🌱 and finishing the day with a cheerful singalong 🎶

A perfect balance of fresh air, creativity, self-care, and smiles!

We started the day with our usual morning catch-up — always a great way to check in and share a few smiles.

We then had a very special visit from Roger, John, and Michael from Brett Valley Lodge, who kindly presented us with an amazing donation towards our Elk cushion. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity – thank you again for your support!

Afterwards, we made the most of the brighter weather and headed out for a refreshing morning walk. It’s always nice to get some fresh air and stretch our legs.

We then got creative with a fun Halloween craft – making skeleton pictures using cotton buds! A bit of glue, a lot of imagination, and plenty of laughs made for a spooky-good time. 👻🦴

After lunch, it was time for the 2pm game, followed by a good old-fashioned sing-along – a favourite for many of us. 🎶
Meanwhile, a group also popped over to the allotment to check on how things are growing.
Another lovely day full of activity, laughter, and community 💛

We started the morning with a cosy chat over a cuppa, catching up on the newspapers and sharing stories. After that, we wrapped up warm and headed outside for a refreshing autumn walk — the air was crisp, and the colourful leaves made it a beautiful scene to enjoy together. 🍁

Back at the barn, the creativity flowed! Some of us got stuck into diamond art, while others enjoyed knitting, painting, and even a bit of building. There was something for everyone to enjoy and express themselves.

After a tasty lunch, it was time for our 2p game, which brought lots of laughs and friendly competition. A few of us went out for a second little stroll, we wrapped up our day gathered in the lounge for a good old singalong — the perfect way to end a wonderful day, with music, memories, and plenty of smiles 🎶

We started our morning with a gentle catch-up, enjoying some relaxing music to help us settle in and ease into the day. The calming tunes created a peaceful atmosphere, setting the tone for a positive and engaging day ahead.

Afterwards, we headed out for our morning walk, and to our delight, we were greeted by our familiar friends—the horse and donkey—who always bring smiles and a sense of joy to our walks. It was a lovely way to enjoy some fresh air and gentle movement.

Once we returned, the group naturally split into a few different activities. Some of us caught up on the news, reading the morning papers and having a chat about what’s going on in the world, while others got creative with painting the wooden vehicles we’ve been working on. It was wonderful to see the colours coming together and the progress being made on each unique piece.

After a tasty lunch and a bit of a rest, the afternoon brought out our competitive side with some light-hearted card games, followed by a round of chair exercises to keep us moving. We rounded off the day with a good old-fashioned singalong—voices raised, smiles all around, and a few happy memories stirred by the familiar songs.

We started our morning with a lovely cup of tea or coffee and some warm crumpets – the perfect way to ease into the day. After that, we wrapped up and headed out for a refreshing autumn walk, enjoying the crisp air and a few golden leaves underfoot. 🍂🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
Back inside, we got creative painting some spooky Halloween tea light holders. We also finished making a Halloween garland, and it's looking fantastic. 🎨🕯️👻
After a delicious lunch, we made a quick trip to the allotment to pick the last two pumpkins of the season – and wow, they are huge! Everyone was so proud to see our hard work. 🎃💪

We rounded off the day with a cheerful singalong – always a favourite – with plenty of smiles and tapping feet to finish the afternoon on a high note. 🎶😊

Our morning began with a gentle catch-up, giving everyone time to chat, share stories, and ease into the day together. With the autumn air crisp and refreshing, we then headed out for a lovely walk—enjoying the fresh air, the changing leaves, and each other’s company.

We then got into the seasonal spirit with some Halloween crafts. There was lots of imagination on display as we created spooky decorations. At the same time, some of our group showed off their practical skills by building wooden vehicles—great fun and great focus!

After lunch, the afternoon brought games and music. We played a lively round of Giant Jenga, with plenty of cheers (and a few playful gasps!) as the tower wobbled. We finished the day with a joyful singalong, lifting spirits and filling the room with familiar tunes and smiling faces.

We had a lovely day today, made extra special by welcoming a new member into our group. The morning began with a relaxed catch-up session, where we took the time to introduce ourselves, share stories, and help our new friend feel right at home.

With the autumn air crisp and refreshing, we headed outside for a gentle walk. It was a perfect chance to stretch our legs, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the sights and sounds of the season.

We then got stuck into some creative activities. Some of us put our hands (and imaginations!) to work building wooden vehicles—cars, trucks, and even a motorbike. At the same time, others began working on our Halloween decorations, bringing out the colours, cobwebs, and creativity to get us into the spooky spirit!

After a tasty lunch and a good chat, we rounded off the day with our usual dose of Friday Fun. We had a brilliant time playing shuffleboard, a lively catching game, and a few friendly rounds of bowls. There were lots of smiles, laughs, and even a little bit of healthy competition.

Today we were delighted to welcome a new member – it's always a joy to see new friendships beginning to blossom.

We started the morning taking time to chat and get to know each other. There were plenty of smiles and stories shared over cups of tea before we headed out for a gentle morning walk. The fresh air did us all good, and we were lucky enough to spot the local donkey and horse playing together – a lovely moment that had everyone smiling.

Back at the barn, some chose to relax in the lounge with the morning papers, engaging conversations, and a look through our old toolbox, sparking memories and stories. Meanwhile, others got creative in the arts and crafts area, enjoying a variety of hands-on activities.

After lunch, the fun continued with games of bowls and shuffleboard – full of friendly competition and lots of laughter. A few also made their way to the allotment area to enjoy some time with nature and get stuck into a bit of light gardening.

All in all, it was a day full of connection, laughter, and gentle activity – just the way we like it. 💚

Wonderful Wednesday 🫶🏻

We’ve had a busy and beautiful day today!
We started the morning with a cosy cuppa and some toasted crumpets – the perfect way to ease into the day. After that, we wrapped up warm and headed out for a gentle morning walk to enjoy the fresh autumn air. As always, we reminded everyone to look up – there's so much beauty in the trees this time of year!

It was then time to get creative. The gents got to work screwing holes in conkers (a sure sign that autumn is here!), while the ladies enjoyed some relaxing diamond art and had great fun making pumpkins using yarn and toilet roll holders – so simple and so effective!

After a hearty lunch, we rounded off the afternoon with some gentle hand therapy exercises, followed by chair exercises and a good old-fashioned singalong – lots of smiles, toe tapping, and happy memories shared through music.
A day well spent, full of laughter, creativity, and connection. 💛
