Honeysuckle - Our World Providing essential respite for people living with dementia. Open tuesdays, wednesdays, thursdays and Fridays 9am-3pm.

We have lots of activities for your loved one to enjoy whilst in a safe, home from home environment.

Happy Friday!

We started the morning with a catch-up over the newspapers and some knitting. We wrapped up warm for our morning walk — still a little chilly, but at least the rain stayed away!

Back at the centre, we enjoyed aqua painting, diamond art, and puzzles, with Pam Ayers playing in the background keeping us all laughing.

After lunch, we had tea served in our lovely new English china set. A few people popped over to the allotment while the rest of us enjoyed playing the alphabet game.

Thursday fun!

We stayed indoors due to the unpredictable weather. We enjoyed reading newspapers together and listening to poems by Pam Ayers.

Later in the morning, everyone took part in puzzles, word searches, and games of tic tac toe, encouraging lots of conversation and laughter.

After lunch, we had great fun playing the “Pass the Giant Pig” game, whilst challenging ourselves to name countries through the alphabet. A lovely day filled with friendship, fun, and gentle activities enjoyed by all.

We welcomed a lovely lady today, it was lovely all getting to know each other. Sharing stories of our love for animals and careers.

The weather wasn’t very nice, with rain on and off throughout the day.
We stayed indoors for most of the morning, enjoying puzzles and card making together.

A few of us managed to get outside between the showers to see the horses. After lunch, we listened to some of Pam Ayres’ poems and finished the day with some chair exercises.

Today we enjoyed a lovely morning walk in the sunshine, taking in the fresh air and listening to the birds singing.

Afterwards, everyone spent time in the arts and crafts area getting involved in activities they enjoy. Some were busy building wooden cars and planes, while others enjoyed painting, diamond art, colouring, and reading.

Following lunch, we came together for a fun singalong and a lively balloon game, which brought lots of smiles and laughter. A couple of us also went to check on the allotment area and see how everything is growing.

Today we started as we ment to go on lots of fun smiles and laughter,
Wonderful walk into nature which we so enjoy chatting along the way.
Seeing the locals on route then back at the barn,we got crafty at the table doing drawings and nature pictures celebrating sir David Attenborough 100th birthday what facts we spoke about a remarkable man.

After lunch we had our own special ladies 70th birthday celebration wonderful cake music from the 70’s.

Allotment care completed then some time in the sunshine in our courtyard. We missed our Lauren and grateful for all our help. Have a wonderful weekend everyone .xx

Today I stood back for a moment and just watched to see their bonds and understanding of each other is the reason we do our jobs!

We started our day with the local papers fruit plates and some had a crumpet!

On our walk nature was music to our ears we listened to the wildlife looked up into the sky talked about every day things we take for granted. We picked a few flowers along our route.

On our return it was time to get those hands into the soil seeds we potted. Flowers arranged into tiny vases.
When you give a carpenter tools the table gets measured the little things show the parts we can reach.😘
We celebrated a special birthday and of course we had cake🎂.
After lunch a few headed out to care for our allotment and enjoying each others company.

Games and competitive side with shuttle board and team tennis back in the barn, all in all a very proactive day for us all. 😘

The weather today just couldn’t make its mind up!! We laughed a lot today, some of us headed out very prepared for the rain! We travelled around our globe world and spoke about some wonderful adventures.

Others enjoyed the arts and getting crafty.

After lunch a nice gentleman’s shave 🪒 some competitive games of shuttle board and team tennis, we filled the room with some classic hits from the sound of music to exercise our vocal cords. 🎵 🎵

Today we had catch up on that bank holiday weekend. Of course the Ipswich town promotion came up 💙!

We headed out to our local community a few waves to the locals along the way plenty of smiles,

Our customers and us enjoyed shoulder and back massage’s real treat to relax. Allotment care after lunch seeing our seeds grow is great achievement our little pride and joy!

Ending on a little music sing a long and a dance. 💃

In the morning, we relaxed with knitting and reading newspapers, then we all went for a refreshing walk in the sunshine, making the most of the beautiful weather.

Later, we got creative with arts and crafts, painting colourful flowers onto wooden wreaths and spending some quiet time working on puzzles.

After lunch, the group split into two activities. Some went to the allotment to plant more vegetables, enjoying the fresh air and a sense of accomplishment. Meanwhile, others stayed back in the lounge, where we shared a lively singalong and enjoyed a good chat together.

Today we started the morning with a lovely catch-up, sharing stories about our working lives. We always enjoy hearing everyone’s experiences and memories—it’s such a special way to connect.

We then made the most of the sunshine with a gentle walk, which everyone really enjoyed. After returning, everyone spent time doing something they love, from knitting and building a wooden plane to colouring and reading.

Following lunch, we relaxed together in the courtyard, soaking up the beautiful weather and finishing the day with a friendly game of bowls.

The sun was shining today, although it was a little windy. We still managed to get outside for some fresh air, which was lovely and enjoyed by everyone.

Afterwards, it was time to get stuck into the activities we enjoy. There was something for everyone, including puzzles, diamond art, building wooden motorbikes, colouring wooden sunflowers, and spending time reading through the Britain in the Seventies book.

In the afternoon, we were delighted to welcome some lovely visitors. A few of us took a trip over to the allotment, where we planted strawberry seeds and enjoyed being outdoors.

The rest of us had lots of fun taking part in the balloon game, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter to end the day.
