Are you struggling to read this image? Now imagine if this is how your child sees the world. For anyone who can’t make it out, this is what it says:
“Most children have no idea how they are supposed to see. So when words look like this, they assume everyone sees the same way they do. Imagine how frustrating that would be.”

Contact us now to book an eye exam for your child. It could make a world of difference to them. Child eye exams are free under the NHS and can be done from an early age.

Eyes on the ball, brought it all!

⚽️ England’s hero was once told she might never play sport.
As a baby, Hannah was diagnosed with , a condition where the eyes are misaligned and point in different directions. She had three surgeries by the age of three to help correct it. Now? She’s England’s number 1. Two saved penalties. One unforgettable final 🏆

Strabismus affects around 2–3% of children. If left untreated, it can lead to amblyopia (lazy eye) and loss of stereo depth perception, the ability to judge depth at close range.

👏 Hannah’s story shows that early diagnosis and treatment can make a lasting difference.

Six weeks can seem a long time but it flies by surprisingly fast, often resulting in a last minute dash to organise school uniforms, new shoes etc. It’s very easy to forget to ensure your child has their regular eye exam.

Children usually have no idea whether their vision is normal as they don’t know any different, and some conditions can go unnoticed. Eye exams for children under 16 are free under the NHS and are crucial in detecting any eye health issues at an early stage. Addressing any concerns promptly can result in more effective treatment.

Make sure your child has the best start to the new school year by booking them in for their eye exam before September.

Today, we raise awareness about Sjögren's disease and its impact on eye health.
Sjögren’s (“SHOW-grins”) is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects the entire body. Along with symptoms of extensive dryness, other serious complications include profound fatigue, chronic pain, major organ involvement, neuropathies, and lymphomas. It is estimated that half a million people in the UK have Sjögren’s syndrome, and it most commonly affects women aged 40– 60. Only about 1 in 10 Sjögren’s patients are men.

Remember to keep your eyes hydrated—use preservative-free artificial tears regularly and consider wearing sunglasses to protect against UV rays and wind. Staying hydrated and using a humidifier can also help alleviate dry eyes. Share your experiences and support those affected by Sjögren's by joining the conversation! Together, we can shine a light on this often-overlooked condition.

Glasses and sport don’t always go together well. They hamper your peripheral vision, are more prone to damage, can fall off or get in the way of wearing a protective helmet.

To be free of such distractions and allow you to really focus on your game, contact lenses can offer the perfect solution. They don’t fog up, provide 360 degree vision, are comfortable and you don’t have to worry about them falling off.

Contact us now to find out whether contact lenses could help you play better and enjoy sporting activities more. Even if you’ve struggled to use them in the past, advances in contact lens technology make them more wearable for more people than ever.
