“I don’t have time”
most people I see don’t,

If you’re thinking, “I just don’t have time for this,” pause for a second.

Because the people I work with are busy with desk jobs, long hours, home offices,

Always switched on 💡

What I usually hear isn’t about time It’s about capacity.

“I can’t add another thing.”
“I don’t want more to manage.”

That makes sense, but pain already takes time.

It drains focus, wears you down quietly, and the aim isn’t to give you more to do, it’s to help your system calm down so daily life costs less effort.

Less tensing, teeth grinding background aches,

More room to breathe.

Here’s something to try now,

Place one hand on your chest

One hand on your lower ribs.

Breathe so the lower hand moves more than the top one.

Slow. Easy. No forcing.

Three or four breaths is enough

You’re not fixing anything

You’re just reminding your system it’s safe to soften.

5 signs your desk job is affecting your body more than you think.

This isn’t about bad posture
Or doing something wrong
It’s about load.

Here are a few things I see all the time with people who sit and think for a living
Constant neck or shoulder tension that never fully disappears.

Jaw clenching without realising
Breathing that stays high in the chest
Feeling tired but wired,

Struggling to properly relax even when you lie down
This kind of strain is quiet
Invisible
Easy to dismiss

But your body feels it
Sitting still while staying mentally switched on is demanding.

Often more than physical work
If you recognise yourself here, it doesn’t mean you need fixing.

It means your system might need a chance to settle

Full body massage.
Indian head massage.
No big injury.
No rehab plan.

Just someone who said, “I just want to relax.”
And that matters.
Not every session has to be deep tissue.
Not every appointment needs dry needling or IASTM scraping.
Sometimes your nervous system just needs to slow down.

If you’ve been telling yourself this is just part of getting older, read this.

Yes, bodies change.
But constant pain isn’t a guaranteed side effect of birthdays 🎉

What I see most especially with desk based professionals around Northants is overload and tension.

Years of sitting, stress, responsibility 💻

Very little time for the system to fully settle.
Pain becomes normalised.

Then accepted.
Then written off as age.

Sometimes that belief feels safer than hoping again.
But pain driven by a sensitised nervous system can change.

Not by forcing it, by working with it.

Quick relief is great,

Of course it is.

But what I really care about is the long game.

Can you train without fear of the same flare up?

Can you sit at your desk without bracing all day?

Can you sleep through the night without waking up with that stiff neck?

That’s what matters to me.
That’s why we plan treatment.

This client came to me with persistent shoulder niggles and tension headaches 👺
