🌸 LONGEVITY - what’s the deal?🌸
I had A LOT of events in my life, very close illnesses and bereavements that made me think about longevity and healthspan - and I would like to share it all with you 😳
But to start, let’s break down the basics.
The average LIFESPAN for a woman is about 83 years old. However, the average HEALTHSPAN (life without any life-altering disease is only 64). This means, on average, we’re living about a quarter of our lives in suboptimal health ☹️🤯
What’s not to love?
There are some simple changes we can make to improve our lifespans - regular exercise, strength training, more vitamins, less processed food, quitting smoking, less alcohol etc etc
But really, we want to be extending our healthspans - yes, all of the above will help, but are you really giving you body everything it needs nutrition wise?
My guess is NO as it is so hard to do and a minefield of different “diets” out there.
