CSV® (created by American Sadie Nardini) is a fresh, modern & non-linear approach to yoga that is intuitive as well as great fun. It includes Eastern and Western philosophy and influenced by different styles of Yoga. CSV® uses next generation anatomy, biomechanics, physics, myofascial muscle meridian system and fitness. CSV® includes a system called the '4 foundations' and the 'wave' to direct energy up and along the deep core line of the body to improve the effectiveness into transitions and postures, and to express more fully with ease and invite more space into the body. CSV® isn't a 'one size fits all' as it allows for different body shapes and sizes to benefit. Poses and transitions can be modified or intensified depending on the the levels of fitness, age and ability of a student who is then encouraged to navigate what helps their body feel fully supported. A great emphasis of the class is to release outer body tightness . This is achieved in the way of strengthening along the whole body core and helping to rebalance a relationship between muscle fascia and joints. CSV® utilises the most effective breath method that will help to release and support in movement, strengthening the core and releasing any unwanted blocked energy to flow more freely. CSV® moves away from the predictable and the linear patterns of traditional yoga and instead embraces movement that is intuitive, joyous and sets us free to flourish. You literally can't get anything 'wrong' as you are encouraged to move in your own way to the own rhythm of your breath and body. When practiced regularly, this system can revolutionise our sense of movement, space and awareness, not just on the mat but in everyday life also. By applying the 4 foundations that are key to this practice you can expect to get stronger, more agile, improve mobility, less aches and pains, increased fitness levels, a release of feel good endorphins and a more harmonious and happy nervous system.

🌟The CSV® method I teach weaves itself into all of my offerings from stronger classes to the more gentle restorative/somatic practices. For more information on local classes/workshops and questions, please message me.

This feels good!! 🥰Important for building awareness and strength around our core. Hips, glutes, lower back stability, not to mention the shift in balance as we perform each side. You can do the same movement using a chair to hold onto for more stability if you need. 👍Ladies our pelvis & spines needs a lot of love as we get older. 🩷🩷

🩷Ladies of a certain age. We need variety. But..If you find now that you are struggling with your exercise and movement/yoga that you used to do in your 20’s 30’s ( and perhaps before children if applicable to you), then maybe it’s time to be a little honest with yourself. 🤔 Let’s not beast ourselves silly and invite fearce compassion to our workouts. 🔥🩷 move your body in honour of your spine, pelvis and limbs. Especially as our hormonal balance shifts. This doesn’t mean we don’t do the things we love..but just adapt slightly or as much as you need! Bending limbs and using energy wisely and beginning to understand your needs instead of wants is transformative. Listen to those whispers of wisdom. These moves above feel good on me BUT adaptation is unique for the individual. 🩷🩷🔥

Awareness of your body internally/externally can help you to approach movement with more ease and confidence. Many poses or exercise isn’t bad…it’s how our body responds to it. Taking into account our life experiences, our mental state, and the conditions our bodies are in to begin with. If there is no letting go or deep awareness and we just push through…then we have to expect injuries, strain, pain and rigidity. Most of us aren’t Olympic athlete’s. Respect your body and bring in anything you need to feel good and lit up that creates balance. ✨🥰

Ladies..🩷It’s easy to get carried away and caught up in the cycle of productivity ..especially this time of the year!
Take time for yourself to FEEL, nurture, reconnect & listen to your inner rhythms. Listen to those little whispers, and do whatever you need to do to find harmony of body, mind and soul. We have one life…rushing yourself into the ground to please everyone else is a thankless task. You owe yourself time & space to be ..just to be! 🙏✨✨Your adrenal glands will thank you for it too❤️

Just fearce & powerful. ❤️

She didn’t scream. There was no room for that.
Grief would have to wait. Tears would have to wait.
The world was demanding a decision — right now.
With her husband lying still in the snow behind her, and her newborn’s heartbeat fluttering like a dying candle against her chest, she made the choice that would define her entire life.
Wyoming Territory, January 1878.
The sky was white, the ground was white, the world was white — everything swallowed by a storm that erased the horizon and mercy with it.
Catherine “Kate” Morrison watched her husband’s chest rise once more… and fall for the very last time.
She leaned forward, placed her forehead against his, and whispered a sound that was not quite a word, not quite a sob — the sound of a soul splitting open.
The storm did not stop to acknowledge it.
It simply howled.
Her son, only six days old, cried against her skin — a small, desperate sound that pierced deeper than any wind.
He was still alive.
That meant she did not get to die today.
She wrapped him in everything they owned — her husband’s coat, her own shawl, every scrap of warmth she could find — until he was nothing but a small bundle pressed against her heartbeat. She tied him to her chest with leather straps because if she fainted… she needed him to remain against her, where her body heat could still reach him.
She kissed her husband once.
Once.
Just once.
Because if she kissed him twice, she might never leave.
Then she climbed onto the horse.
The cold was not just cold — it was a predator.
It clawed at her lungs.
It bit her fingertips.
It stole her breath and her thoughts and the edges of her memory.
Snow blinded her.
Wind mocked her.
The horizon was gone — there was only white and the beat of the horse beneath her and the tiny, fading flutter of her baby’s heart.
An hour passed.
Maybe two.
Time dissolved.
And then — the crying stopped.
The silence was worse than death.
She pressed her hand to his chest, through the layers, searching, searching, begging —
There. There. A flutter. A faint spark.
He was still with her.
Barely.
Her voice cracked as she spoke into the storm:
“Stay, Jacob. Stay. I don’t care if you hate me for the cold. Just stay.”
Her lips were bleeding.
Her fingers were numb wood.
Her vision blurred.
And then — shapes moved in the white.
A hallucination, she thought. Or God. Or madness.
But it was real.
A line shack.
Small. Weather-beaten. Half-buried — but standing.
She fell more than dismounted.
Shoved the door open with her shoulder.
Collapsed inside with her baby still tied to her chest.
She built the fire with hands she could not feel.
Melted snow in a tin pot.
Unwrapped her baby with a prayer and a terror too large for words.
Jacob was blue.
Silent.
Not breathing.
Something inside her shattered — and then ignited.
She pressed him to her bare skin, rocked him, whispered her husband’s name, her own name, her child’s name — as if names could pull souls back into bodies.
She breathed her warmth into him.
Over and over and over.
“Come back to me.”
“Come back to me.”
“Please. I am not done loving you yet.”
And then it happened —
A gasp.
A cough.
The tiniest cry — weak, angry, alive.
She broke.
She sobbed.
She laughed.
She held him as though the world itself had been returned to her arms.
Two days later, soldiers found them.
Kate had fever.
Shaking.
Barely conscious.
But her son —
Her son was warm.
Pink.
Nursing.
Living.
They called it a miracle.
But Kate knew better.
It wasn’t a miracle.
It was a thousand choices made every step through the snow:
One more breath. One more heartbeat. One more inch forward.
Jacob Morrison grew up to become a doctor — because he had learned, with every breath of his life, that survival is something someone fights for.
And when he told his children about the grandmother they never knew, he didn’t speak of heroism or legend.
He said:
“My mother rode through death itself because I was worth saving.”

Because love is not soft.
Love is not fragile.
Love is a warhorse ridden through a blizzard.
And when the world comes for what we love —
we do not beg.
We rise.

I’m heading straight into menopause and in the throes of aches, pains and turmoil. This is a true awakening and a deep inner wisdom I intend to embrace. At first I was in denial BUT I now understand what my body needs and this has taken time. Tuning, listening and those whispers of deep feminine energy that releases the ego and an energy that can no longer be ignored. 🤔HOWEVER ..not all women will feel the same AND honouring that is vital . 🙏🙏But what gets me is that our culture is riddled with false claims and promises around womens health 🙏How on Earth can women feel at ease with themselves and this great transformation when there are so many people jumping onto the band wagon womens health! Selling false claims/promises. All over social media platforms. This is happening in yoga, fitness, wellness and just about everywhere. How is a woman to feel at her most vulnerable and to know who’s right or wrong!!🤯However, there are many teachers and wellness experts around ( you know who you are 🥰) that are passionate, well qualified and have done their research to help women whatever stage they’re at. My yoga has adapted A LOT. And through various years of training I am thankful and motivated more than ever to help other women feel safe, empowered, more educated and heard. There is so much good we can do in classes etc. There is no quick fix, ideal breath , or pose that fixes women. We have to be very careful how we word things or say what we say as it’s so individualistic. Yoga methods should fit around a student and not the other way around. Rigid yoga practices that were initially designed for male bodies ( Indian male bodies) can often exacerbate a health condition. Adaptation, support, guidance and a non judgmental, trauma sensitive and anatomically guided practice that invites curiosity, play, pleasure and compassion. Not to mention functional movement for everyday living in a western society. Certain poses can be amazing for some women BUT an absolute contraindication for others. Research is everything and time to sometimes step out of the box is necessary for adapting and changing. 👍

So sweet.

So sweet.

“Pooh,” said Piglet softly, “how do you know when it’s time to step away from things that make you sad?”
Pooh thought about this very carefully, because it was a question that touched both the heart and the tummy, and those were the most important sorts of questions. “Well, Piglet,” he said, “sometimes you notice that certain places or certain thoughts feel too heavy, like carrying too many honey pots all at once.
And then you remember—it’s all right to set some of them down.”
Piglet tilted his head. “But isn’t that leaving things behind?”
Pooh shook his head gently. “Not leaving, Piglet. Just choosing. Choosing to keep what makes you warm inside and putting down what makes your paws ache.
Because even in the Hundred Acre Wood, not every path is meant for every day. Some paths lead to sunshine, and some only to thistles.”
Piglet gave a little sigh of relief.
“So self-care is knowing which path to walk?”
“Exactly,” said Pooh. “It’s remembering that it’s not selfish to take care of your heart. Because when your heart is lighter, you have more to share with the friends who need you most.”
And with that, Pooh leaned back against the log, flower in hand, tea steaming beside him, and decided that the best kind of strength wasn’t carrying everything, but knowing when to carry less. ❣️🌻 Xx . . .
