☀️ School’s Out – and So Are Our Little Helpers! 😄

Six weeks. SIX! WHOLE! WEEKS!
That’s how long the summer holidays last, not that we’re counting (okay, maybe just a little).

While the kids are thrilled to swap textbooks for ice lollies and late mornings, we parents are over here perfecting the Summer Holiday Shuffle 🤹 A delicate dance of juggling work, childcare, snacks on repeat, and at least one “Mum/Dad!” per second.

Here at Eternity, we’ve decided to embrace the chaos, and the extra helping hands! 🧼📦 Whether it’s organising stock, lending a hand at our summer events, or shining those cars until they gleam, we’re making the most of having our mini team members around.

Wishing all the parents out there patience, strong coffee, and maybe a few peaceful moments in the sun. 🌞

We’re Celebrating a Big Moment! 💙

This morning, Katie arrived at work to a surprise welcome, balloons and all! 🎈

As any small business owner knows, building something from the ground up is incredibly tough, and those early days are some of the hardest. What many people don’t realise is that, alongside running Eternity, both Matthew and Katie have also held part-time jobs to support their families.

Today marks a huge milestone: after nearly a year of tireless effort, Katie is now working full-time for Eternity.

We’re committed to delivering the best possible service to our local community, and that meant pouring everything back into the business, so that’s exactly what we did. Today, that dedication pays off a little, as the personal load Katie has been carrying finally gets a bit lighter.

Thank you to everyone who has believed in us and continues to support us. We’re incredibly humbled by how this wonderful town has embraced us, and we’re proud to serve you 🙏

People often comment on us being a family-run business, and while you'll often see the adult members of the family, you might wonder, what do the kids get up to? 👀

Well, being a "family-run" funeral care provider isn't just something we say, it's truly a way of life. Our children are growing up with a deep understanding of compassion, respect, and the importance of serving others.

As many of you know, we established this business in honour of our grandfather, who gave so much to this local community. We couldn’t be prouder to pass on the same values he taught us to the next generation.

From fetching and carrying 🧺, to washing and preparing our vehicles with care 🚗✨, and even assisting at community events, they contribute with sincerity and heart 💙

To our children: Thank you for all your hard work, your late nights 🌙, early mornings ☀️, and the care you give to everything you do.

“What matters to you, matters to us…”

Today, we had the profound honour of standing beside a family as they lovingly crafted a farewell as unique and special as the life it celebrated. It was a deeply moving tribute filled with love, personality, and the kind of quiet strength that comes from saying goodbye with meaning.

With the heartfelt permission of the family, we are humbled to share these moments with you.

A special thank you to the incredible Corby Loyalist Flute Band for their tribute. It touched the hearts of everyone present.

It’s moments like these that remind us: a farewell doesn’t have to follow a script, it can be as personal and unforgettable as the person we’re honouring 💙 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
