Yesterday, The Lancet published findings on a step count study and associated health benefits. It compared the health of someone taking 2000 and 7000 steps a day. It found that the risk factor declined in a linear pattern. Meaning the more steps we take the less risk there is to our health. Here is what they found…
✅ 47% lower risk if all-cause of mortality
✅ 25% lower risk of Coronary Heart Disease
✅ 14% lower risk of type 2 Diabetes
✅ 6% lower risk of cancer
✅ 22% lower risk of depression
✅ 38% lower risk of dementia
✅ 28% lower risk of falls
What’s not to like!!
Remember every step towards 7000 a day, counts and helps make a difference. Consistency is key to making changes in our lives that work.
