We enjoyed a visit from KH Reborn Dolls! They visited our residents with a selection of their reborn dolls to deliver some much loved doll therapy! Out of the 60 people living with us, only 2 declined to participate, proving just how beneficial doll therapy can be!

Brunel House was filled with warmth and admiration this month as one of the long-time ladies living with us, Winifred, marked her 106th birthday on 3rd November - a milestone that reflects a life rich in history, family, and resilience.

Since moving into Brunel House in May 2017, and has enjoyed the comforts of her home and the company of her favourite television shows, including Emmerdale, Coronation Street, and quiz programmes. Her musical tastes span pop and classical genres, with favourites like George Michael, Pavarotti, and opera classics filling her days with melody.

Win celebrated her birthday quietly this year, enjoying a gathering with close family and friends the day before, and spending her actual birthday in peaceful reflection. When asked about birthday celebrations, she replied "I truly never expected to reach this age, I've seen so much and lived such a life full of all kinds of stories. I think my biggest bit of advice is to laugh a lot with the ones you love!"

Her life, however, is anything but ordinary. Winifred’s story is a testament to enduring love, hard work, and the simple joys of family and music. Brunel House is proud to call her one of its own.

🌺 A Royal Encounter in Corsham! 👑

We’re delighted to share that two of our residents had the honour of meeting Her Majesty The Queen Consort Camilla yesterday during her visit to Corsham to celebrate the inspiring Poppy Project.

The Queen placed the final poppy at the beautiful display after visiting the dedicated Poppy Shop at the Martingate Shopping Centre, where she met members of the WI committee.

It was a truly memorable moment for those living with us and a proud day for our community!

We are beyond proud of our amazing team, our residents, and everyone who supported us along the way.

Some of the lovely people living with us enjoyed a walk for More...Fresh Air through Bradford on Avon and along the canal, we made a new four legged friend, and had a lovely hot chocolate to warm up with after talking about the old Tithe Barn!
