Now home following an amazing week at CHIO Aachen for the test event for para dressage. Where do I start?!

The venue... truly amazing. Proper stadiums, friendly staff, with all the facilities close together. Needless to say it will be an amazing atmosphere for the world equestrian games in the summer ☀️

The support team..... what a fab team! Brilliant to work with, all dedicated to bringing out the best in the riders and horses and all looking after each other too!

The riders.... wow you 2, you are truly inspirational and . I dont know what else I can say to describe you guys. A total pleasure to work with the whole week 🤩

Then last but not least, Fanta and Humberto 🥰🥰🥰 what special horses you are. Lots of cuddles, licks, and toggle thievery (fanta!!!) You have both been an absolute delight all week. The results speak for themselves!

Plenty of pinch me moments, too much haribo, and memories to last forever

Back at home this week then on to Waregam the following!

In this insightful talk, Bridget Bazell explores the vital role physiotherapy plays in supporting both horse and rider as athletes. Drawing on her extensive experience across human and equine practice, Bridget will explain how physiotherapy helps optimise performance, reduce injury risk, and support longevity in equestrian sport.

Central to the talk is the importance of multidisciplinary support teams. Bridget will discuss how collaboration between physiotherapists, vets, coaches, farriers, and other professionals creates the best outcomes for both horse and rider.

This talk is ideal for riders, coaches, and support staff keen to gain a deeper understanding of how a holistic, team-based approach can enhance performance at every level.

Bridget runs a successful Equine Physiotherapy practice alongside her role as a Physiotherapy Team Lead. As an FEI Permitted Equine Therapist, she works internationally with elite competition horses and is part of British Equestrian’s athlete support team, including supporting the GB Para Dressage Team.

For those of you living with persistent pain, or those who know people who do, there is a new documentary on channel 4 that' s worth a watch.

Seen 'Live Well with the Drug-Free Doctor'?
Watch it here on Channel 4: https://www.channel4.com/programmes/live-well-with-the-drug-free-doctor?cntsrc=social_share_android_live_well_with_the_drug_free_doctor

I'd also recommend the podcast by Dr Chatterjee "Feel Better, live More"

I'd also ask, how much of this is transferable to our 4 legged friends? For me, there is a huge overlap. What do you think?

Dr Rangan Chatterjee asks: can you overcome a chronic condition without medication?
