📚 Good evening, everyone!

I hope you’ve all had a joyful and restful festive season! As we ease back into reality (hello, Tuesday 👋), I’ve taken some time to give our little library a tidy-up before the mini humans I have the pleasure of educating return.

✨ A huge thank you for all the generous donations leading up to Christmas – the shelves are bursting, and we’re full to the rafters!

For now, I kindly ask that no further donations are made until I can make some space. I’ll keep posting updates here, so stay tuned!

Wishing you all a wonderful start to the new year – happy reading! 📖

✨ Little Free Library Update – A Christmas Request! 🎄

Good evening, everyone!

We know Christmas is right around the corner, and many of you are in the midst of a good holiday clear-out – thank you for thinking of our little free library during this time!

However, we kindly ask that donations are not left outside or next to the library, even if they’re in a bag. Unfortunately, we aren’t always able to collect them in time, and with the recent rain, a whole bag of children’s books was sadly damaged and had to be thrown away.

📚✨ On a brighter note – I have some festive Christmas books ready to go! I’ll be adding them to the library on Monday for everyone to enjoy, so be sure to stop by!

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Wishing you all a warm and wonderful holiday season! 🎁

📚Quick Library Update! 📚

After a tidy-up, I noticed the bottom shelf of the library has unfortunately has become soaking wet due to the storm over the weekend. To help keep your books in good condition, please avoid placing donations on the bottom shelf for now.

Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity!

Happy reading! 📖✨

Rules to live by……..

Apologies for not being active on social media in recent weeks, I’ve had other responsibilities that took precedence.

I noted this week that the library was kindly topped up by residents, and I wanted to thank those residents who kindly donated 🥰.

Currently preparing more books for the “Blind date with a book” event this month.

No small fete….i don’t know why i do it to myself 😂😂

Side note….

I have just startled three young Individuals opening the book packages so diligently wrapped last week…..

I did explain they were for the adults in the area, and if they wanted herbal tea and a honey stick they didn’t have to break open the packages take them, just knock on my door I have 100s to spare they can have, if they need or want them 😂

Or if they wanted me to wrap books for KS2 I am more than happy to run the same event for their age group….

Sooo to help young folks on the hills who don’t know what’s age group the packages are …….

I will write “blind date with a book, (18 years plus)” on each package 😂 to help.

And if I do any for younger peeps I will add the age of the reader to those too…

And precisely what the “blind date with a book” is all about.

Me time and mindfulness!

Mindfulness is being as aware and as grounded in the present as possible. Reading is a great way of doing this because it requires you to focus on the words in order to grasp their meaning

There are loads of books still remaining yet to be popped out so don’t worry if you think you’ve missed your chance🥰📚

The first of the “Blind Date with a Book” packages were popped outside this morning.

To allow everyone a chance to take part in this event, I will be popping a few out every other day (or every day if required) but I also pop them out at different times of day to allow shift workers and those with unusual time tables a chance to take one home too.x.

Happy reading.

Never judge a book by its cover….

Keep your eyes peeled in our library this month as I host our first “blind date with a book” event.

Each package will have the genre and 3 facts on the front about the book hidden inside, you will also receive a tea to cosy up with (and a honey stick if you’re like me and you have a sweet tooth) and a bookmark that I hope provides you with positivity and love.x.
