💉💉WINTER FLU AND COVID JABS 💉💉

Winter Covid boosters and flu jabs will be available from Wednesday 1st October.

This winter the Covid booster vaccine will only be available to patients 75 and over, or those with an impaired immune system.

At the start of the campaign we will not be able to accept walk in’s, but this may change as the season progresses. Please make an appointment via the online NHS booking service.

From the 1st October, walk in’s will be available for flu jabs only. If you prefer to make an appointment, this can be done via the NHS booking service.

Did you know your community pharmacy offers more services now than ever before! 👨🏻‍⚕️🥇

One of these services allows patients to receive treatment for uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) direct from the pharmacy without needing a GP appointment.

This service is only eligible for women, aged 16-64, who are registered with a GP and are experiencing symptoms of an uncomplicated UTI. This does not apply if you are pregnant.

If you fit the criteria, please call into the pharmacy (no appointment necessary) or ring the pharmacy for details.

Based on a consultation, the pharmacist can either offer advice, or supply a three day course of antibiotics if appropriate.

🐣🐑🌷EASTER OPENING HOURS🐣🐑🌷

Hi all!

Just a reminder that we will be CLOSED from Good Friday (the 18th) to Easter Monday (the 21st) to enjoy Easter weekend. We will reopen Tuesday the 22nd.

Please pick up any prescriptions before Friday to ensure you don’t run out.

In the case of an emergency, multiple pharmacies in bishop Auckland will be open across the Easter weekend.

🐣💉SPRING COVID BOOSTERS💉🐣

Spring covid boosters are available from
Tuesday the 1st of April.

You are eligible if you are over 75, or if you are under 75 you will be eligible with a condition that effects your immune system.

We have a clinic open on Tuesday 1st April 9am-1pm, and on Wednesday 2nd April 9am-1pm.

Appointments can be made by the NHS booking website.

At the moment we have only been issued with a limited supply so please contact the pharmacy to discuss availability in advance. You can do this by calling 01388 603447.

💉💉💉💉COVID VACCINE UPDATE💉💉💉

Just to let you know that we have managed to get a hold of some more Covid jabs, meaning we will be holding walk in clinics this THURSDAY, FRIDAY, and THROUGHOUT NEXT WEEK.

Please pop in if you require a jab and haven’t already had one!!

Also a reminder that this service stops nationwide on the 20th December!!

🍁💉🍁AUTUMN VACCINATIONS🍁💉🍁

A reminder that Covid Boosters and Flu Jabs are available in the pharmacy from Friday the 4th October.

You can book flu jabs through the NHS booking service or walk in anytime.
However we encourage you to book Covid booster appointments through the NHS booking website - we may only be able to offer walk ins depending on supply.

This autumn Covid jabs are available for everybody over 65 and those meeting certain medical criteria- please pop in or phone the pharmacy for more details surrounding eligibility.

🩵🩵🩵🩵A BIG THANK YOU 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who has signed our petition at Coundon pharmacy.

You may or may not know the following:
- Since 2015 funding for pharmacies has been cut in real terms by 40%
-Since 2015 over 1,400 pharmacies have closed
-10 pharmacies are closing every week at the moment
-Current funding for pharmacies is not covering the cost to run a pharmacy
-Costs have gone up like everything else

If this continues more pharmacies will close.

This petition is for immediate fair and sustained funding, to safeguard NHS pharmacy services and to ensure local pharmacies have a future.

Your signatures will form part of a nationwide appeal to the government for a better future for your local community pharmacy.

Hi all,

We are still offering a Covid vaccine clinic the mornings of Wednesday 15th and Friday 17th this week.

You can either make an appointment via the NHS booking system or walk in between 9 and 12am.

You must meet the requirements stated in my previous post regarding Covid boosters.

Supplies are becoming limited, so please make sure you don’t miss out!!

Hello all,

Just to let you know we have received a further batch of Covid Booster Vaccines this week.

There should be enough to accommodate for any walk ins during our clinics on Wednesday and Friday. Please feel free to walk in any time on those days to receive your Covid Booster Vaccine, no appointment needed.

You must meet the requirements stated in my previous Facebook post surrounding the Covid boosters.

Vaccine availability for next week will be updated in due course.

💉💉💉SPRING COVID-19 VACCINES💉💉💉

We are pleased to announce that Coundon Pharmacy will be offering the Spring Covid-19 Booster vaccine.

The categories for eligibility are much reduced this year. You must be either:
- 75 years or over (you must be turned 75 by the 30th June 2024 to be eligible)
- 18-74 and have a weakened immune system -your GP or pharmacist will clarify your eligibility for a Covid vaccine and confirmation and proof of eligibility may be required at your appointment.

We will be operating clinics on the mornings of Wednesday the 24th April and Friday 26th April, Wednesday the 1st May and Friday 3rd May.

Appointments can also be made by directly contacting the pharmacy at 01388 603447.

If you can’t attend any of the arranged clinics please contact the pharmacy for information of potential walk in appointments dependent on the availability of vaccines.
