We are seeking a friendly and organised Cafe Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately
Prepare and serve beverages, snacks, and light meals in accordance with hygiene standards
Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment
Restock supplies and ensure the café is well-presented at all times
Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently
Provide friendly assistance to customers with special dietary requirements or queries
Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service delivery
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers
Qualifications
Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Organised with strong attention to detail
Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as needed
