Update 10:30am: Our computers are now back up and running but we are still having some slight issues with our telephones. Thank you for being patient.

❌Our clinical systems and Telephone lines are currently down again! (Tuesday 24th March) ❌

We are currently experiencing significant IT problems and our clinical systems are not working. This affects our ability to book appointments, view medical records and process prescriptions in the usual way.

At the moment, we do not know exactly when our systems will be fully restored, but we are working with our IT support to resolve this as soon as possible.

For now:

If you have a medical emergency , please call 999 or attend A&E .
For urgent but not life-threatening problems , please use NHS 111 online or call 111 .
For routine or non-urgent queries , please consider contacting us once our systems are back up, or check our website for updates.
We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to restore services safely.

Any child can be at risk of Child Exploitation. Guidance is available on how to support young people deemed to be low risk, alongside other resources including how to use the Child Sexual Exploitation Screening Tool.
The Coventry Safeguarding Children Partnership have developed a video explaining how to use the Exploitation Indicator Tool, which you can access here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i3asGaizl0

The Horizon Team in Coventry Children’s Services work with children and young people living in Coventry that have been or are at risk of being exploited.
Exploitation can happen to any child regardless of their age, gender, background, socio-economic status, religion or culture.
It is important to remember that a child cannot consent to their own exploitation and a child may not consider themselves as a victim.
Think, spot and speak out against abuse and child exploitation.

🦠 Meningitis & Measles – Please Check Your Vaccinations 💉
There has been a recent increase in serious infections such as meningitis (including a MenB outbreak in Kent) and measles in parts of the UK.
Many of these illnesses are preventable with routine NHS vaccinations.

✅ Which vaccines help protect against meningitis?
Several routine childhood vaccines protect against forms of meningitis, including:
• Men B
• DTaP/IPV/Hib/Hep B (the “6 in 1” vaccine)
• PCV (pneumococcal)
• MMRV (measles, mumps, rubella and varicella)
• Men ACWY
You can read more here: Meningitis – Vaccination (NHS): https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/meningitis/vaccination/

👶 MenB vaccine
• MenB is routinely offered at 8 weeks, 12 weeks and 1 year of age.
• Missed MenB doses can be given up to 2 years of age.

🧑‍🎓 MenACWY vaccine (teenagers and young adults)
• Given routinely in School Year 9 (age 13–14) .
• If missed at school, it can be given up to age 25 by the GP practice.

📅 Unsure if you or your child are up to date?
• Please check your Red Book or NHS App.
• If you think you or your child may have missed any vaccines or have an uncertain or incomplete immunisation history, we can usually offer catch up in line with UKHSA guidance.

📞 What you should do now
• If you believe you or your child may be missing routine vaccines, please contact the practice and our team will check your records and book an appointment if needed.
• Vaccinations are free on the NHS and are one of the best ways to protect yourself, your family and the wider community.

If you are worried that you or your child may have symptoms of meningitis or measles, please seek urgent medical advice via NHS 111, or call 999 / attend A&E in an emergency (for example, if very unwell, drowsy, confused, difficulty breathing, or a rash that does not fade with a glass).

Child Exploitation can take many forms, such as sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, radicalisation, modern slavery and child trafficking. Often children experience more than one form of exploitation at a time.
The Coventry Safeguarding Children Partnership have developed a range of quick guides and posters on the different types of Child Exploitation and how to spot the signs that a child may be being exploited.
