πŸ–₯️ Did you know you can check in for your appointment using the self-check-in screen at the surgery?

We understand some patients may feel unsure about using it because it doesn’t always tell you where to sit afterwards β€” but please don’t worry 😊

If you are unsure where to wait, simply take a seat in the main waiting room and the TV screen will call you through to the correct room when it is time for your appointment.

Using the check-in screen helps reduce queues at reception and makes arriving for your appointment quicker and easier for everyone.

Thank you for your support πŸ’œπŸ§‘πŸ€

πŸ’š Mental Health Awareness Week πŸ’š

Exam season can be a stressful time for many young people. Feeling worried, anxious, overwhelmed, or under pressure is common β€” but support is available.
It is important for young people to look after both their physical and mental wellbeing during this period:

πŸ“š Take regular breaks from revision
😴 Aim for enough sleep each night
πŸ₯— Eat regular meals and stay hydrated
🚢 Spend time outdoors and stay active
πŸ’¬ Talk to someone you trust about how you are feeling

Parents, carers, and schools can also play an important role by encouraging open conversations and helping young people manage pressure realistically.

If exam stress or anxiety is becoming difficult to cope with, support is available through NHS services, including NHS Talking Therapies and local mental health support services.

This week is Sun Awareness Week 2026.

Sunburn increases your risk of skin cancer. Sunburn does not just happen on holiday. You can burn in the UK, even when it's cloudy.

There's no safe or healthy way to get a tan. A tan does not protect your skin from the sun's harmful effects.

Aim to strike a balance between protecting yourself from the sun and getting enough vitamin D from sunlight.

Find out more about sun safety: https://www.nhs.uk/live-well/seasonal-health/sunscreen-and-sun-safety/

Nearly 1 in 3 deaths from non-melanoma skin cancer is caused by working under the sun.

To protect yourself:
🌴 Seek shade
😎 Wear sun-protective clothing
πŸ‘’ Put on a broad-brimmed hat
🧴 Apply sunscreen
🩺 Get checked regularly for skin cancer
