We are currently seeking a Laundry Assistant for vacancies within Harvey House, care home.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and have the ability to work independently. We are praised on the standard of cleanliness for our care homes and require someone with a passion for cleaning, attention to detail and ideally with experience in a similar role.
Daily duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
•Cleaning and maintaining resident linens, garments, wardrobes and drawers
•Washing, shoe polishing, pressing and ironing residents laundry to a high standard
•Labelling and minor alterations to the residents garment
•Putting laundry away in the residents bedrooms
•Maintaining laundry area by ensuring a clean working environment and equipment
•Maintaining a safe, secure, and clean working environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, C.O.S.H.H regulations.
•Reporting defects, damage and hazards to the management team
•Be able to work individually and as part of a team
•Offering visitors a friendly and professional welcome.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.50-£11.94 per hour
Expected hours: 18 - 24 hours per week
