We encourage you to reach out to family, friends or colleagues for a chat over tea or coffee, to help combat loneliness and provide emotional support. However you are able to, the simple act of checking in with someone can have a huge positive impact.

Anna, Trish and our team at our Binley Road branch received these kind words of thanks recently from a family we looked after.

Anna was lovely and very thorough the booking and confirming all the arrangements. Trish was also really helpful at responding to queries and always came back to me really quickly. All of the team on the day were very professional and couldn't have been more helpful and kind. The team made a difficult day as easy as it could be.

Thank you to Rick and the team for this wonderful feedback we recently received.
Rick was very respectful ,knowledgeable,kind lovely guy. The transfer of our loved ones coffin from the hearse to the horse-drawn went so smoothly. The drivers were lovely and all the staff respectful. Thank you all for making a difficult day so much easier for us all.

Being proactive.

Grief can be isolating and it’s tempting to stay at home over the cold Christmas period. But it’s important to get yourself out of the house to prevent isolation. A winter walk for some fresh air could be a good way to relieve anxiety.

Focussing on the needs of others is a very rewarding experience and encourages you to engage with different people. For that reason, volunteering is a good way to help cope with grief. It also allows those who want to skip the festivities an opportunity to feel good during Christmas.
