A NEW three-week, Yogic Life yoga taster course for complete beginners starts on Monday October 3 2022, at 7pm. All ages (adults) welcome. Each class is 90 minutes and includes asanas (postures) breathing awareness practice and deep relaxation (yoga nidra) The course will take place at Earlsdon Medical Centre in Moor Street. TWO new (face-to-face)Yoga classes for beginners start in Earlsdon, Coventry, next month (Sept 2021) at 7pm on Wednesday and a Thursday.

The classes are suitable for people who have never studied yoga before (or people who have not studied Satyananda Yoga).

This is gentle and meditative Yoga, taught systematically and is suitable for people from all backgrounds, of all ages.

The seven-week term starts on September 8 & 9, 2021 and costs £70. Classes, which are 90-minutes long, go on progressively throughout the year with terms generally co-inciding with the Coventry academic year.

Learn how to move more easily, breathe correctly, relax very deeply and improve your sleep quality.

Once you have become a regular student you will also have the option to join early morning Zoom classes.

A YOGA workshop to help practitioners develop regular home practice between weekly classes is being held in Coventry this month.
The half-day event, being held at the Visitor Centre in the city’s War Memorial Park takes place on the morning of January 11, 2020.
Yoga students from Yogic Life, based in Earlsdon Coventry will have the chance to look at the barriers and benefits to regular practice and adapting a programme to suit their lifestyle. Integral yoga which balances all aspects of the being, including mind, body, breath and emotions, can easily be adapted to the needs of individual student while increasing awareness.
Regular yoga practice increases the benefits of yoga classes and accelerates the resulting inner transformation. Benefits include:

Students who attend yoga classes in Coventry at Yogic Life collected toiletries and other items for Coventry Foodbank this Christmas. The students, who attend beginner and intermediate level classes, responded to a call for the items for people in crisis. Learn how to create yantras and mandalas at a workshop in Birmingham on Saturday April 21, 2018.

Creating a mandala or yantra is a ritual which offers self reflection and healing as well as tapping into our creative spirit. Mandala means circle and is a sacred symbol of wholeness. A yantra is a powerful form of mandala and used as a tool for meditation.

Yoga Teacher and artist Helen Turner (Swatantra) will guide students, step by step in drawing and painting Ganesh Yantra and give all the tools necessary to create your own unique mandalas.

The workshop takes place at the Fusion Centre, South and City College Birmingham, 334-339 Bradford Street, B5 6ES from 9.30am to 3.30pm and costs £35.

A New Year of Yoga in Earlsdon

A new term of beginners yoga starts again in Earlsdon next week for six weeks, from week starting January 8 to week ending February 16. The cost of the block is £54

For those of you who may not be aware, there are two new classes running on Monday and Thursday lunchtimes at the War Memorial Park. And a chair yoga class for people with mobility issues at 1pm on Wednesdays at The Govind Health Centre.

The free cancer class is still running at Walsgrave on every second Thursday of the month. Do get in touch if you are interested. For a timetable of all weekly classes visit the website: coventryyoga.com for more information.
