Patients could start treatment faster, 98% of our patients’ treatments are scheduled within 10 days of referral.

Our self-pay solutions provide patients the flexibility to start treatment sooner or provide access to cancer therapies that are not always immediately available.

Our team of highly trained Oncology Nurses and Clinical Nurse Specialists cover a comprehensive range of tumour types, including lung, breast, o***y and bowel. If patients are at the start of their journey, we can also help them get in touch with a specialist Oncology Consultant.

Clinical treatment at home gives patients the time and independence to live life to its potential alongside their condition, enabling time and flexibility to prioritise family life and work.

🙋 FAQ: Is it safe to receive cancer treatment in my home?

Yes. Our nurses are trained to an extremely high standard and have gone through extensive education and training, including the national UKONS SACT Passport and undergo annual reaccreditation for their specialist chemotherapy and SACT trained clinical skills.

Patients will receive 1:1 care with a specialist cancer trained nurse. Our nurses deliver the same standard of care that you would get in hospital.

The sunshine can be a welcome sight, but high temperatures can quietly affect our health, especially for those requiring specialised care.

Whether you’re receiving cancer treatment, enzyme replacement therapy, or any other therapy, staying cool and well-hydrated is essential but what’s right for one person may not be right for another.

General tips to stay safe in the heat:
- Drink regularly unless told otherwise
- Keep indoor spaces cool and shaded
- Wear light, loose clothing
- Use fans or cool damp cloths for comfort
- Avoid peak sun hours when possible

For patients receiving HPN, or other patients who are directed to follow a fluid restriction, it’s especially important to follow guidance from your prescriber. Your needs may differ, and your care plan is designed just for you.

We’re here to support you in every season, and our nurses always tailor care based on your specific condition. If you're unsure how the heat may affect you, please speak with your Lloyds Clinical team.

💬 Share this with someone you care about who could use a reminder to stay cool and safe.

We are taking part in Home Artificial Nutrition (HAN) Week.

This week, our colleagues Mary Williamson, Lead Nurse for Home Parental Nutrition (HPN) and Victoria Ball, Clinical Nurse Specialist, are leading a programme of activity to raise awareness and funds for HAN Week, in partnership with PINNT (Patients on Intravenous and Nasogastric Nutrition Therapy).

HAN Week empowers patients to receive life-sustaining nutrition in an out-of-hospital environment, giving back precious independence.

Here’s what’s happening this week at Lloyds Clinical:
• Bake sale - every pound raised will go directly to support PINNT and their work with patients and families.
• A Learning Lounge session for our colleagues to raise awareness about parenteral nutrition and our roles within HPN.
• What a Waste: Art Attack 2025 – our team will be getting creative with recyclable or safe clinical materials for PINNT’s national art and photo competition.

Tell us in the comments, are you doing anything for HAN Week?
