DAY 4 Mental Health Awareness Week @ finding balance 💚🌱
-
A late post as it's been one of those 'Meh' kind of days.
-
Sometimes they creep up on us. You may have exercised, eaten healthy and done all of the things that usually keep your head above water and sometimes the day just feels sort of woolly.....and upon reflection woolly is apt as the lack of consistent good sleep is the reason! (Must have forgotten to have counted those sheep!)🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑
-
There has been lots of scientific research into how lack of sleep impacts our mood and also our ability to function.
-
Sleep can be evasive at various times due to worries, health or when looking after others. But its important to do what you can to help your body have it's all important recharge overnight. 🔋
-
So put that phone down atleast a hour before bed, have a warm milk and take a few moments to ease into sleep.
-
📚Read a book
📝Keep a notebook by your bed to use to make a list of things on your mind to help clear your head
🎧Or I like to take a trip to Aberystwyth from the sleep stories. Works everytime! (And I havent ever found out whether the train gets there....🚂🏴)
-
When you sleep well everything seems brighter
-
-
So have a think about when you sleep well and what helps you enter the land of nod.
-
Night night xx
