Today, we said goodbye to our lovely Ruth ❤️

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beautiful Ruth. Ruth was a wonderful person who brought so much joy to our lives during her time here at Herald Lodge.

We will always cherish the memories we made together, Rest In Peace 👼❤️

Some weeks we have a full double table, and others we have only a handful. We’re making constant progress though, and whether there’s lots of us or only a few, it’s lovely getting tog and seeing how everyone is getting on 🥰

These books are here to help us give a more person-centred care to our residents, offering activities that they’re interested in, and talking about the past with them.

Even those that have been for a while can fill one in with your help. We find it really interesting learning about our residents, their families, and life before Herald Lodge 🥰

Yesterday we spent the morning making birthday cards for an extra special soon to be 8 year old.

Amelia Kolpa, from Rowley Regis, has neuroblastoma and has been in and out of hospital since the age of two and a half. To mark her 8th birthday on 3rd March, Amelia is hoping to break the record for the most birthday cards received in the UK, by hitting the 8,000 cards mark.

If you’d like to send her a card, please give it to Emily or Sophie by Thursday this week.
