Nels has been training for strength for the past 4 years and has competed 7 times. She is incredibly passionate about mental health and aiding people on their journey to become the best versions of themselves both physically and mentally.

Mitch has dedicated the majority of his adult life to powerlifting and strength training, starting in his later teenage years

He has competed in over 20 powerlifting competitions taking first in many and breaking records in certain federations. He’s a fantastic coach and coaches the majority of the team at our small powerlifting gym earlsdon, all of whom have competed and done extremely well themselves.

If you’re starting out on your strength journey it’s incredibly important to make sure you’re learning the correct tekkers for your lifts.


Your CNS (central nervous system) is the absolute OG (original gangster) it is an incredibly intelligent part of our body. It learns very quickly which muscle fibres it needs to recruit to perform a lift. The more you practice that lift the more that motor pathway develops and says “hey I’ve done this s**t before” over time and with practice this becomes intrinsic and much more automatic.

If you learn the incorrect technique you then have to develop a new neurological pathway to perform it correctly it’s a set back and it’s frustrating and honestly who the f*ck wants to do that?- just ask Mitch he learnt this for himself early on!

So if you are looking to start training please please go with a coach who knows what they’re doing and can teach you correct form and posture from the get go!
