They say quarries are great scars on the countryside, unashamedly and rudely conspicuous. We may feel the same about our own physical or emotional scars and they may cause us to melt and wilt and withdraw but we’d be denying the world the chance to see us in all our resplendent bloody brilliance. They disappear when we hide in plain sight. Our scars are our story. We should wear them loud and proud and scream from the hilltops, I’ve lived, I survived, I belong.

It is with a heavy heart that I have taken the decision to close the clinic for the time being. The British Acupuncture Council has strongly advised practitioners to postpone care while the nation grapples with COVID-19 and, as the health and safety of my visitors is of paramount importance, minimising the risks is the right thing to do.

Thank you for your patience, support and understanding over the last few days. This work allows me to meet amazing people every day and I’m confident that if we all make the right decisions we can return to normality as soon as possible.

I hope you and your loved ones stay safe and well and I look forward to welcoming you back very soon.
