PLAYER VISIT | Huge thank you to Coventry City FC players Miguel Ángel Brau and Oliver Dovin for joining our session at President Kennedy School last week 🤩 🩵

💬🧠 The players took part in an open and honest Mental Health Q&A, where students from both and asked brilliant questions about:

✅ Performing under pressure
✅ Managing phone usage & social media
✅ Handling negative comments
✅ Building confidence, resilience & support systems

Oliver and Miguel spoke candidly about their experiences - from managing injuries and setbacks to staying grounded during high‑pressure moments - and encouraged students to look after their wellbeing, reach out for support, and check in on one another 🌟🩵

A huge thank you to both players for their honesty and inspiration, and to the students for representing the programmes so brilliantly 👏

Last night, some of our U10 PDC players played x2 5v5 games vs Coventry City Academy U10’s

A really positive learning experience for our players, who got to experience really competitive & intense small sided games vs academy opposition ⚽️⚡

A great learning opportunity for our PDC Players 👏🏻💡

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT | Free Talent ID Day 🩵⚽️

Here at the Player Development Centre, we’re hosting a FREE Talent ID Taster Session Day on Friday the 10th of April in half term ⚽️⚡

Your child will have a free 1 hour taster session with one of our experienced coaches. The session will give you taste of our programme, & curriculum led coaching, as well as allowing our coaches to assess players ahead of our summer trial period 🩵

This day is aimed at players who have experience playing Saturday football, & are looking to trial & join one of our MJPL or Mid Warwickshire Saturday League Teams 🥅

If selected, you will receive an email from us in the coming weeks to invite you into the taster day 📧

SKY BLUES SKILL SCHOOL ⚡️ & First session FREE‼️⚽️

Here at Sky Blues in the Community, we’re excited to launch our NEW Sky Blues Skills School 🤩 This new training programme will sit within our existing and successful Player Development Centre, offering weekly high quality training sessions 📈

➡️ IDEAL FOR:
• New to football and need to up-skill before entering a team environment
• Those currently in a team, who want to boost their technical confidence and capabilities outside of their team training
➡️ WHAT TO EXPECT:
• Sessions follow a specialised curriculum designed by a UEFA B license academy coach, focused on developing players core skills
• Two week learning blocks on one of the four core areas of the curriculum:
- Passing and Receiving
- 1 VS 1 Dribbling
- 1 VS 1 Defending
- Finishing and Ball Striking
