Well, where do I start? I suppose with the announcement, so I'm here to make our final post to this page we have made the decision to say goodbye as I head off on a new adventure and Mark takes a well earned break. Our final day at Steps will be Tues 12th November.

I want to use this post to say thankyou, thankyou to all the amazing people who have supported us over the years, without that support none of this would have been possible, to the other agencies that joined us to create Steps for Change, to the people who donated to us, to our amazing friends and family who believed and supported us every step of the way and lastly but certainly not least anybody who has volunteered with us and given their time to the people we support. To Jaz, who we miss terribly and his beautiful family. Thankyou.

I hope in some way over the years we have made a positive change in peoples lives, we always pride ourselves on the fact that our service was run with the upmost integrity, designed by people with experience for people experiencing struggles. Those stories and struggles our yours and yours alone, which is why we always focused on keeping confidentiality at the heart of everything we do.

And lastly, to the amazing person who started us on this journey who gave so many others hope and inspired us to do the same, Mr. Ayriss I hope we made you proud. Its never really goodbye, its just see you later.

πŸ’œπŸ’œ It's our 6th Birthday!!! πŸ’œπŸ’œ

We are celebrating our 6th Birthday today, and what an amazing 6 years it has been. We are so incredibly grateful to all the people who continue to support us to help support others.

I don't think any of us believed we would get this far, but it's a testament to how important it is to have quality experience led services. We offer confidential support to anyone in need.

It's been an emotional year for us, with the loss of our friend and colleague Jaz but we are still here helping those in need.πŸ’œ

We can't let this day pass without a mention of the man who inspired us, to Mr David Ayriss we are forever grateful for your wisdom and your hope πŸ₯°πŸ’œ

If you would like to show your support, I will post our PayPal link below. All and any funds go to helping people change their lives and help us keep our groups running. We are a voluntary service and receive no government funding, so everything helps us to keep running.

Change Grow Live is one of the proud co-sponsors and joint organisers of the UK Recovery Walk this year. The event is hosted by Faces & Voices of Recovery (FAVOR) UK and will be held in London.

This is an opportunity to come together, celebrate recovery and recognise the ways our sector is improving people's lives as part of the National Drug strategy. Together we will deliver a high-quality treatment and recovery system that will save lives.

The recovery walk is free and open to everyone – all staff, volunteers, people using our services, family and friends. Anyone who wants to join our celebration and learn about recovery is welcome. There’ll also be the option of a shorter accessible route.

In addition to joining thousands of people walking through the iconic Crystal Palace Park, it will be a fun day for all the family. The event will include a range of activities, plenty of music and access to valuable information.
