A huge congratulations to our latest DAISY Award honouree, Registered Nurse, Louise Arnold.

The DAISY Awards, funded by UHCW Charity, recognise the inspiring work of Nurses, Nursing Associates and Midwives.

Louise was nominated by a patient for the care and compassion she showed her during her chemotherapy journey.

Her nomination read:
"Louise is one incredible nurse! Right from the start of my chemotherapy journey, she has been a pillar of strength. Her kindness, compassion and love for her job and patients shines through at every visit.

“As someone diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, I am anxious every time I come for treatment.
Louise never fails to settle me down, even if she isn't allocated to me, she will always come over and make sure I am ok.

“Louise truly is an asset to her profession, the Maple Unit, UHCW and the wider NHS. I could not be more grateful to have met such a lovely nurse.”

See someone smoking outside one of our entrances?
You can now take action.

The new PA systems came about from patient and staff feedback and are placed in the main entrance and Women and Children’s entrance at University Hospital.

We encourage everyone who sees someone smoking outside of our entrances to press the green button to play a smoke free message from our 11-year-old paediatric patient, Jesse and prostate cancer patient, Adam 💙

If you’re registered for our patient portal, myhealth Coventry and Warwickshire, you may receive an online questionnaire about your health before your operation 💚

Please complete this as soon as you can - it helps us prepare for your appointment and means we won’t have to repeat the same questions to you.

This forms part of our new pre-operative assessment process which will be going live within our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) on Monday 4th May.

These changes will help our teams collect the right information, review it faster and keep track of where you are in the pre-operative process.

We’re carrying out essential resurfacing works across May and June.

This means temporary changes to parking and access routes. Please allow extra time when travelling.

This weekend, Car Park 5 will be open for visitors only, staff should use alternative parking.
Follow signage on arrival and refer to the map in advance.

Your registration will stay active for the badge’s licensing period and entitles the holder to use any visitor car park.
