We’re proud to celebrate an incredible achievement! πŸŽ‰

A leading business organisation has been recognised for making the health and wellbeing of its staff a priority – and is encouraging other employers to follow suit.
Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and its sister company Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce Training have both been awarded with Thrive At Work Bronze Accreditation by West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).
The achieve the accreditation, the organisations had to show the policies it has in place to support staff with mental and physical wellbeing followed by face-to-face interviews.
The Chamber has established a new wellbeing group – led by HR administrator Millie Young – and has developed a 12-month plan of action that will support its team.
Signing up for the accreditation – which includes foundation, bronze, silver and gold categories is free of charge for businesses and helps them to benchmark their activities around wellbeing.
Matthew Hammersley, HR manager at the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce, said: β€œI am thrilled that the work of Millie and the team has been recognised by this accreditation.
β€œHealth and wellbeing is fundamental to the success of any organisation. Having happy, motivated and healthy staff is not only the right approach morally, it also leads to improved results for the business.
β€œI would, therefore, encourage other businesses and organisations across Coventry and Warwickshire to sign up to become a Thrive At Work employer as it will help them to understand where they are right now from a health and wellbeing perspective and look to put measures in place to improve.”
The Chamber supports businesses across the city and county to grow, while Chamber Training offers everything from apprenticeships to commercial training courses.
Jenny Duggan, of Coventry City Council – who awarded the accreditation on behalf of WMCA, said: β€œCongratulations to both the Chamber and Chamber Training on achieving Thrive At Work Bronze Accreditation. Everyone should take real pride in the work that has been undertaken to deliver this significant achievement.”
