Sometimes without us even knowing it, the pelvis can become twisted and rotated.

💻 Whether this is seated at work in a twisted position due to having to look at notes that are always one side on the computer.
🛋️ Or being slouched to one side at the computer or on the sofa.
📺 It could even be the rotation to see the TV due to its positioning.
💤 Sleeping positioning can also be a factor.

Sometimes these things are changeable so that your positioning is better.
If not, then it’s okay.
Movement, mobility, control and stability are key to correction.

Mr. B - before and after…

This patient came in with issues relating to an overly externally rotating hip during compound movements like lunges and leg press.

In this instance, this caused adductors and hip flexors to overly tighten causing the hip abductors to become submissive causing the imbalance and a pulling upwards and medically on their attachment sites of the knee (right - see photo).

Releasing of the dominant muscles allowed the knee to drop into the proper alignment - which may have eventually become a tracking issue at the knee.

Strengthening plan has been prescribed to the patient - as this is key to help build up the under active muscles and allow a relaxing of the over dominant muscles to allow neutral hip and knee alignment (as shown in the after photo).

Issues relating to R scapular control and stability… winging scapular realigned into a better position. Not perfect but better. With scapular rehab prescribed this will allow a cementation of the scapular positioning.

Scapular Drop…

Patient presented with an issue with R shoulder when lifting - mainly gym and lifting specifically.

Alongside the release of the L shoulder which had compensated for the R drop shoulder, and the opposite reaction to the hypertension of the R lat dorsi muscle that was also released, we managed to get better alignment of L and R respectively.

Patient is now in a position whereby with the right activation exercises of the R shoulder alongside the release and mobility of the R lat muscle, controlled realignment and neutral positioning should occur.

Overall, pretty happy with this one 👌
