Finally, our last talk of the day was by Palliative Care Consultant Dr Jon Tomas, who took us on an inspiring journey through his career, highlighting the value of constant and varied collaboration and seizing opportunities!

Our final student talk of the day came from Ruth Brooks and Jemima Marsden who took us through their work investigating perinatal mood episodes in fathers with bipolar disorder.

Their work was awarded the prize for Most Innovative 🏆 Congratulations to you both!

Our penultimate student talk of the day was Grace Fisher who presented her work exploring staff understandings of the phrase 'dignity in death' in the context of care homes for the elderly.

Grace's talk also took joint 1st place for Best methodology 🏆 Congrats Grace!

Kicking off our afternoon of oral presentations was Liam Dervey with his (Best Overall Presentation) Award winning talk: Are total hip arthroplasty outcomes worse in patients with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome: A systematic review and subgroup analysis

Rounding off our morning session, Anushka Chavan presented her systematic review of the management of relapses in Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis from 2014-2024

Our third speaker was Marcelina Gozdowska, who presented her audit and evaluation of patient outcomes following laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Marcelina's presentation went on to win joint 1st place for Best Methodology! 🏆 Congrats!
