Our new consulting rooms are in and looking fantastic! We can’t wait for everyone to see the transformation. The new rooms will allow us to see more patients and help ensure minimal wait times for our FREE NHS common ailments & independent prescribing service!

Please bear with us today. Our dispensary is being remodelled this weekend to help make it more user friendly! We’re increasing our shelf and work top space & removing the old Lloyd’s dispensing drawers to make the dispensary a more efficient working environment for our team. Renovations will be completed this weekend.

Providing consent for electronic prescribing (EPS) simply means that we'll receive your prescriptions automatically as opposed to us having to wait & collect paper prescriptions direct from surgeries, essentially, it just helps streamline the prescription process.

You can use the NHS app to track and order your own prescription's or you can still re-order with us direct.

If you have a urinary tract infection (also known as a UTI, Cystitis, a water infection) your local community pharmacy can help under the NHS Common Ailments Service.

If you’re female, aged 16 to 64 and think you have a UTI, a pharmacist can assess you and may be able to offer treatment.

The pharmacist will see you in a private room, assess your symptoms and provide antibiotics if they’re needed.

You don’t always need an appointment, but it’s best to call ahead to check a pharmacist is available.

Cowbridge Pharmacy offers a FREE NHS sore throat test and treat service to patient’s aged 5 years upwards. You don’t need an appointment, just walk in and we’ll arrange for you to have a consultation with a Pharmacist. We can potentially provide FREE antibiotics if the underlying cause of your symptoms is bacterial and FREE pain relief if it’s viral.

Please bear with our team next week: We’re constructing two extra consulting rooms so we can improve/extend our service offerings and further reduce patient wait times. Work is expected to last one week.

The Pharmacy will run as normal - You’ll still be able to collect prescriptions as normal, we’ll continue to offer NHS services: common ailments service, flu vaccinations and Pharmacist independent prescribing consultations from our existing consulting room. Private services: ear wax removal, travel clinic and weight loss management will remain unaffected too.
