Vale Equine Rehabilitation Clinic A rehabilitation clinic for horses using a combination of treatments. The clinic is open on a Thursday and Saturday.

We offer McTimoney Therapist, Hydrotherapy treadmill, Infra Red Therapy, Laser Therapy, Solarium, Equi-taping. Bethan Lloyd is a McTimoney Practitioner and rehabilitation therapist with over 20 years experience. She trained at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in 2001, and since has completed several massage, pressure release and post injury stretching/exercise courses. She has also completed

training in Equi-taping which assists and releases muscles. Providing all these techniques in one means an unique service for horses. The clinic was started in 2015 to provide an equine rehab facility for the whole equine community in Wales. It is situated on a 30 acre farm, with 4 loose boxes and fenced pens, a separate block of 10 stables, manege, various sized turnout paddocks and accommodation for the owner and staff to provide 24 hour supervision. The whole site is covered by CCTV for security. The site has good transport links, as it is easily accessible to the A48 linking Cardiff and Bridgend. We are also able to offer McTimoney Therapy to dogs.

Wow what a weekend our sponsored riders have had.

Cheryl and Sparky were at Little Mill EC on Sunday.
Not only did they get a petplan qualifier score but a PB 71.92% in the Elementary Freestyle Music 🎶 Class.

We have had outstanding results for horses who have had kissing spine surgery, problems with hocks and stifles.

What we offer:
▪️ Hydrotherapy Treadmill - all treadmill sessions will be over seen by Bethan Lloyd, Mctimoney practitioner and will include bodywork treatment and postural correction work.
▪️ Physio treatments using Mctimoney Chiropractor and Massage treatments - this is a gentle, whole body chiropractic technique that focuses on realigning the musculoskeletal system.
▪️ Infra-Red, Laser and Ultrasound Therapy
▪️ Kinesiology Taping
▪️ Proprioception Training
▪️ Rehabilitation Livery
▪️ For horses who don't do well on box rest, we have unique stables with their own adjoining pens/turnout area to enable more movement to encourage mental stimulation whilst healing.

The hydrotherapy treadmill provides non-concussive exercise, improving muscles without loading the joints. It is highly effective workout that can aid in injury recovery and improve their lung capacity, as exercising in water increases blood flow to the heart and lungs

We are the only water treadmill in Wales to include a filtration system that includes cartridge filters, UV (Ultraviolet) sterilization and Chlorination treatment to prevent bacterial grown.

A rehab stay or treadmill sessions can be claimed through insurance policies if you have an open claim. Ideal for kissing spine, muscle building, returning to work from EMS and laminitis, knowing your horse has the best level of care.

We have had some cancellation and so have some availability for Saturday 11 April.

I have the lovely Andrew Jones coming to the Vale Rehabilitation Clinic to run some flat work sessions. Andrew is a BD Wales Coach and has won The British Horse Society “Freelance Accredited Professional Coach 2024 Award”! 🏆👏

He will be running his lessons on Saturday 11 April.
