*how early should i arrive? i purposefully leave a 15/20 minute gap between clients to allow time for stretching at the end (this also means you get your full massage time) to take payment and rebook if required. i also need time to prep for the next client with increased cleaning in this current climate, so please do not arrive any more than 5 minutes early
*what happens when i arrive
You will be asked to fill in a consultation card and
If its your first treatment we will have a chat about your presenting and past muscles aches and/or injuries
*what do i wear? It depends on what area is being worked on but say its a back, neck and shoulder treatment then you would be asked to strip (in privacy) down to your underpants or boxers. Old stretch cotton ones are best (to tight can effect blood flow) and they can sometimes become oily so dont wear your sunday best!
*Is it painful
Massage can sometimes be a little uncomfortable during the treatment, this depends greatly on the injury or reason for seeking treatment. I can only work as deeply as you allow me to. If it is painful then i will ease back the pressure, then work deeper again
You may feel a little tender and stiff for a day or two after but the use of an icepack will calm this inflammation and ease pain. A highly important part of your after care.
*Do I have to do the stretches at home
Please please do your stretches at home daily, this will help you in the long run
