Good evening, all.
Just a quick update: the home will be fully open as usual from tomorrow. Our team has worked extremely hard to support our residents throughout the respiratory outbreak, and Infection Control has now confirmed that we can resume visits and normal activities from tomorrow.
Thank you all for your patience.
On another positive note, our new Home Manager, Kelly Ansell, joined us on Monday. I will be supporting her over the next few weeks as she settles in. Kelly will be arranging a meet-and-greet soon so she can meet you all.

Good evening family and friends,
We are still experiencing an outbreak of flu-like symptoms, with several confirmed cases. We kindly advise you to avoid visiting at this time. However, if you still choose to visit, please limit visits to 1–2 people maximum and ensure you wear a mask at reception. Please also make use of the hand gel when entering and leaving the building.
The spread of infection is beginning to reduce, and we are in regular contact with the Infection Control team. Those residents who are able are receiving a course of Tamiflu.
During this period, we have had to introduce agency staff to support us due to staff sickness. We ask for your patience if you experience difficulty getting through on the phone, as our team is working hard to support residents who are experiencing symptoms.
We hope to provide an update early next week with the expected end-of-outbreak date. In the meantime, we have additional domestic staff on duty to increase deep cleaning throughout the home.
