โ˜˜๏ธ Now we are going to breathe out as we come out for the second leaf.

๐ŸŒˆ As you breathe in, raise your arms up wide until they are above your head with your palms facing each other.

๐ŸŒˆ As you breathe out, slowly move your arms down. Imagine you are making a rainbow with your arms.

๐ŸŒˆ Repeat as many times as you need.

Holi is a vibrant colourful Hindu festival that celebrates the end of winter and the beginning of spring. A celebration of love, symbolising rejuvenation and rebirth.

One of the most iconic traditions you may have seen is people gathering together in white tshirts and throwing coloured powered dyes at each other. It looks like so much fun!

Meditation for a Full Moon

Here is a simple meditation technique for beginners that can be used during a Full Moon:

* Pick a simple word to focus on such as love, peace, happiness or joy.

* Sit in a very comfortable position, keeping upright will help you stay awake. However if you cannot sit upright then find a position that is comfortable for you. You want to be relaxed for this.

* Slowly close your eyes.

* Relax your body, starting from your head all the way down to your toes.

* Breathe slowly, and as you exhale, repeat your chosen word.

* Don't worry if your mind wanders or gets distracted. You are learning a new skill and it takes practise to clear your mind. Focus on your breathing and on your word.

* Practise for 10 - 20 minutes.

* Sit for a moment before getting up.

And that's your first meditation practise completed.

๐ŸŒผ trace your finger along the first side of the petal and breathe in slowly
๐ŸŒผ then, as your finger comes down the other side, breathe out slowly
