🎉 Wow, what a week, Team! 🎉

Even though we had a few down again, we still smashed a fabulous 18lb collectively this week absolutely incredible! And the awards… oh my, the awards I got to hand out this week! 🏆✨

Our Slimmer of the Week is the unstoppable Catherine! 💖 This amazing lady has been at her target for nearly a year but decided to push a little further. Not only did she shed another 2lb this week to earn Slimmer of the Week, she hit her new target AND stepped into a lower stone bracket! I am beyond proud of you, Catherine you are truly inspiring! 🌟

We also celebrated the gorgeous Karen S, who has already achieved her 1 stone award! Wow absolutely amazing, Karen! 💪

And then there’s Helen H, who is just 1lb away from her 1 stone award, but she reached her lower stone bracket this week such a brilliant achievement and I am so happy for her! 🎯

Last but definitely not least, our incredible Gemma Y! I had the joy of featuring her in our member spotlight this week, and after tackling bottomless brunch, she stepped on the scales and achieved her 3 stone award! I may have screamed a little with happiness, and seeing her smile? My heart is officially full. ❤️

Honestly, you are all AMAZING not just our award winners, but every single one of you. I absolutely LOVE celebrating these special milestones and sharing these priceless moments. Each and every one of you makes this journey so beautiful. 🌸💖

Peas pudding pastry pizza base 👇👇👇
Ingredients:
- 1 tub of peas pudding
- 1 egg
- Tomato puree
- Toppings of your choice (I used red onion, spring onion, sweetcorn and quorn pieces)
- 30g cheddar cheese - 1 x healthy calcium choice
Method:
- Pop your tub of peas pudding into a bowl
- Crack your egg into the bowl and mix well till all combined into a paste
- Spray your baking paper with low calorie cooking spray (stops it sticking)
- Spread your peas pudding onto baking paper into pizza shape
- Pop into the oven at 180 for approx 20mins to blind bake (may vary depending on heat of your oven)
- Remove once golden and spread tomato puree on top
- Add your toppings and cheese
- Pop back into the oven 5/10 mins to heat toppings and melt cheese
- Remove from oven serve and enjoy ☺️

✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT ✨

Please read this full story it’s just beautiful and so inspiring, it made me cry 💚

Let me introduce you to the incredible Gemma… and WOW, what a journey this is 🥹 2 stone 13lb gone already too ⭐️

Before Slimming World, Gemma admits her lifestyle “wasn’t great” loving all the wrong foods and avoiding exercise wherever possible. But in 2019, everything changed when she had her gorgeous daughter Jasmine ❤️

Gemma says her daughter and Slimming World have changed her life together and you can really feel that in her story. She’s now more active, getting out and about, going on lovely walks, and actually WANTING to do things… which is such a huge shift 🙌

She works in a school (which she absolutely loves!) and is on her feet all day, but it’s the changes outside of work that have truly transformed her lifestyle 💫

Her starting weight was 18 stone 13.5lb…
And she has lost an AMAZING 2 stone 13lb!!! 🤯👏

Target still to come… but listen to this:
“I couldn’t be more prouder of myself to where I already am.”
And rightly so 💖

Gemma’s “why”… 💔
Gemma shared that she felt miserable, avoiding going out with friends, crying when she looked in the mirror and hating how she looked. That really hit hard… because so many people will relate to that feeling.

But instead of staying stuck there… she made a change ❤️

Her first impressions of group?
“Wow! I could write a full essay…” 🥹 “My amazing consultant is called Amanda, I attend the Tuesday evening class at 7pm at Craghead Village Hall.” 💛

She said it felt like a second home straight away supportive, friendly, caring… and this next part honestly means the world to me:

She said I welcomed her with open arms and told her “we’ve got this together.”
That the celebrations, the support and the way I make her feel… she “couldn’t be more grateful.” 😭💛

(Thank you so much Gemma… this is exactly why I do what I do 🥰)

First week loss?
✨ 6lb GONE ✨

Food Optimising has completely changed her relationship with food:
✔️ Still enjoying the foods she loves
✔️ Swapping takeaways for homemade fakeaways
✔️ Using low-fat spray, extra light mayo and adding loads of salad
✔️ Simple swaps like wraps instead of bread but still enjoying the same fillings

No restriction… just balance 👏

Activity levels?
Massive change!!
She’s now planning days out with her daughter, going on walks and actually LOOKING FORWARD to being active 💕

What is she most proud of?
❤️ The mother she has become
❤️ Achieving her biggest ever weight loss
❤️ Looking in the mirror and saying:
“Gemma, you’re not where you want to be yet… but you’re doing bloody amazing.”

And the most powerful part of all…
👉 “I’m starting to love myself again.”

Confidence?
1000% YES 🙌
From avoiding going out… to feeling confident socially and in her clothes. That is EVERYTHING 💃

And like every journey, there have been tough times…
Tears, doubts, thoughts of giving up after gains or maintains. But instead of quitting, she pushed through 💪

She says group feels like a second home… and this next bit 😭
“Amanda is like a second mother to me, she goes above and beyond for anyone and I can’t thank that woman enough.”

Honestly… I don’t even have the words for that. Just thank you 💛

Gemma has tried to lose weight before, getting to around 1.5 stone then giving up…
But this time?
👉 “It feels different. I’m more determined and I’m not letting anything bring me down.”

And her final words say it all…
✨ “I AM PROUD OF MYSELF!” ✨

And you absolutely should be Gemma. I am beyond proud of you 💖

✨ MEMBER SPOTLIGHT ✨

Let me tell you about this absolutely incredible woman and her journey so far…here is our beautiful Kayleigh 💚 who by the way has lost an INCREDIBLE………..⭐️3 stone 5 lbs ⭐️

She’s a busy mam of FOUR, working TWO jobs, 7 days a week – life was (and still is!) full on. Before joining Slimming World, food was all about convenience… quick, grab-and-go choices like crisps, toast and biscuits. Meals often meant finishing the kids’ leftovers, followed by more snacks, then bed thinking “well I’ve eaten, that’ll do.”

She always used to say “fat and happy” or “bulking up for winter”… but the truth? She wasn’t happy at all. Just putting on a brave face every single day 💔

Her starting weight was 16 stone 4.5lb…
And today she has lost an amazing 3 stone 5lb!! 🤯👏
(Target still in sight and we are SO getting there!! 💪)

Her turning point?
One morning she woke up with no motivation (something she was used to), aching knees, feeling heavy… and she had a word with herself and said to herself
“Sort your life out.”

After hearing positive stories about Slimming World from customers, she made the decision to walk through those doors… and everything started to change ❤️

Her first impressions of group?
She said she felt instantly welcomed and reassured. Just sitting listening to Amanda during her new member talk, she began to BELIEVE in herself, all because of the encouragement, positivity and support she received 🥹

(And this bit means the absolute world to me… thank you so much 🥰)

First week loss?
✨ 4lb GONE ✨

Since then, the changes she’s made are incredible:
✔️ No more fast food
✔️ Meal prepping to stay on track
✔️ Swapping crisps and biscuits for healthier options (hello HiFi bars!)
✔️ Preparing breakfast the night before
✔️ Taking lunch and snacks to work every day

And activity?
She’s smashing it!! Walking everywhere even tackling that big bank to Stanley instead of getting a taxi 🚶‍♀️ setting herself targets and beating them daily 💥

What is she most proud of?
❤️ Learning to believe in herself
❤️ Prioritising her own wellbeing

Confidence?
Through the roof compared to before, now she openly talks about her journey and even supports others with advice 🥹

And when things got tough (because they do!), she didn’t give up. She reached out.
She said Amanda was there with voice notes, calls and messages to help her through those harder weeks… and THIS is what group is all about 💛 You are never on your own.

She’s tried losing weight before with calorie counting and couldn’t stick to it… but this time? It’s different.

Her final words:
“I would recommend this journey to anyone as I still now can’t quite believe how much food I eat.” 🙌

And that right there says it all 😍

I am SO proud of you not just for the weight you’ve lost, but for the mindset you’ve built, the strength you’ve shown and the example you’re setting for your children every single day 💖

Yet another extremely busy day and I can’t wait to get back to some normality and routine.
Leafleting and spreading the word about our incredible groups, painting and chipping years of paint from my new stairs.
Finally sat down now and I’m back to work tomorrow……feel more exhausted then when I broke up but need must and gotta keep pushing because if I don’t do it nothing will ever get done.

Even with the Easter holidays meaning we didn’t have a full group, you have absolutely SMASHED it with a phenomenal 19.5lb loss between you! 🤯👏

That’s the equivalent of…
🥔 nearly 80 potatoes
🧈 over 7 blocks of butter
🍎 around 78 apples

Just AMAZING dedication and consistency from you all 💫

A huge congratulations to Kayleigh R for losing another 2.5lb this week, bringing her incredible total to 3 stone 4.5lb… WOW!!! That is seriously inspiring 💥

Easy veggie paella 👇👇👇👇👇
Ingredients:
- Red onion – large diced
- ½ Red bell pepper – diced
- Sweetcorn – ½ cup (frozen or fresh)
- Peas – ½ cup (frozen or fresh)
- Garlic – 2 cloves
- Paprika powder – 2 tsp
- 2x Tomato – diced
- Vegetable stock – 500ml
- Salt & Pepper – pinch of each
- Dried thyme – ½ tsp
- Paella rice – 1 cup
- Low calorie cooking spray
Method:
- Sauté the onion, garlic and pepper for a few minutes until softened
- Add the diced tomato and sauté for 3 further minutes
- Add the paprika, dried thyme and stir
- Then immediately add the rice, toast for a few minutes stirring constantly
- Add the vegetable stock and stir well
- Add in the peas and sweetcorn and stir
- Allow to simmer, stirring frequently until the rice is cooked. This could take around 20-25 minutes
- If it becomes too dry, add a little water or extra stock
- Serve and enjoy
