What I eat for lunch to stay in shape at 39 may or may not come as a surprise to you.
I focus on 80/20 - 80% good food and 20% “bad” (bad being you want to@eat more and more of it 😭)
I like to keep in the house a head of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, blueberries (if the kids haven’t already devoured them).
I chop up the above and through them into a mixed salad. Add some salt & pepper.
Add some chutney or some balsamic vinegar and olive oil for dressing on the side and some form of bread.
For protein I chose the ham we had for the kids school sandwiches. If there was cooked chicken I’d use it. We had roast beef there actually which could have done the job too!
Aim for plenty of colour and fresh foods. I’d it grows out of the ground it’s good for you!
But I don’t think that awful lot about it as I have improved my eating habits over time.
I might go for convenience the odd time (every other Friday hit the hot food counter) but it’s not convenient to your waistline or health long term so choose healthy lunch options more often than not to lose weight and feel healthier.
Then a wee bit of chocfor the tae! Not a whole packet - just the one bar! Exercise restraint with the sweet treats!
Like and Save this post so you can try this for lunch later!
Enjoy! 😉
