🤧 Blocked nose from a cold or allergies? Nasal decongestant sprays and drops containing xylometazoline or oxymetazoline should now be used for no more than 5 days.

Using them for longer can cause rebound congestion, where your nose becomes blocked again and symptoms may worsen.

These products remain safe and effective when used as directed, and there are no quality concerns or recalls.

If your symptoms have not improved after 5 days, speak to a pharmacist, GP or other healthcare professional.

Skin cancer is caused by over exposure to UV (ultraviolet) light. Over 4,000 people in Northern Ireland will be diagnosed with skin cancer each year, almost 1 in 10 of these are malignant melanoma, the most serious form.
