Mounjaro update

Today Lilly have announced that they will be increasing the cost of mounjaro significantly from the 1st September. We have always aimed to keep our prices as low as we can but we will be unable to continue our current price point once the rises take effect. This is disappointing but we will endeavour to continue with our existing strategy of being as fair a price as we can be.

Over the past 8 months we have had countless success stories and from the start we have aimed for a low margin/high volume approach with our service that aims to check in on patients 4 weekly and gives one on one support. I am going to continue with this as best we can.

I will be in contact with existing patients over the next few days to communicate the new prices.

We will be closing at 1pm.

This decision has been made as much to protect customers as it is to ensure safety of staff.

We are not expecting any deliveries tomorrow. We will not be delivering any medication tomorrow

We are not expecting any prescriptions to be signed by the surgery tomorrow

We will re-open on Saturday at 9am.

Fun fact- this old neon sign is not a neon sign. It is actually an argon sign that generates green light by using argon and mercury vapour. It used to live in the basement of the old shop and is guesstimated to be 50 years old!

At Crail Pharmacy we understand that losing weight can be difficult and that is why we want to help you achieve the weight loss you want, in a safe and effective manner.

Our experienced, well trained, prescribing pharmacists can work with you to help you reach your goals. We know that it can be challenging to manage your weight and that is why we want to support you every step of the way to ensure you achieve sustainable results and enjoy a healthier lifestyle.

We offer a range of weight loss injections which, along with healthy eating habits, and regular exercise, can give you the results you desire.

Injections like Mounjaro and Wegovy help to control appetite, reduce cravings and regulate blood sugar levels. They slow down the time taken for food to digest in the stomach and pass to the small intestine (known as gastric emptying). This means you will feel fuller for longer and need less.


Eligibility to will depend on body mass index (BMI) and other health conditions. Our pharmacists will undertake a comprehensive assessment to ensure that any medication is suitable for you.


We will be running this new private service outwith our normal opening hours initially. We haven't yet built our consultation room so will be operating an appointment based system behind closed doors to ensure that adequate privacy is maintained. Initially we will be booking appointments on Wednesday afternoons and evenings.

For the month of January we will be offering new patients a discounted rate of £150 per treatment month (28 days). Any patients who sign up in January will continue to enjoy a discounted rate for the duration of their treatment period.
