✨ Supporting our team to keep growing ✨

Several members of our Nupath Care team have recently enrolled on new training with Learning Curve Group, an organisation that helps care professionals gain nationally recognised qualifications.

From leadership and management to adult care and mental health awareness, the courses give our staff the chance to build confidence, develop new skills and continue providing the highest standard of support to our service users.

Learning Curve Group offers more than 60 fully funded courses (subject to local authority funding), with no cap on how many you can complete and full tutor support throughout - no previous qualifications needed.

If any of our Nupath colleagues would like to know more or register interest, Tracy Thornton from our Northumberland branch is the best person to contact.

We’re really proud of everyone taking this step and investing in their professional development. 💜

🌺 We will remember them.

Today we pause to reflect and pay our respects to the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

At Nupath Care, supporting people to live with dignity and care is at the heart of what we do - and we recognise that the peace we enjoy today was made possible by their courage and selflessness.

On this Remembrance Day, we honour their legacy, remember their bravery and pledge to carry forward their spirit of compassion and service.

🌺 Lest we forget.

🎃 Halloween fun across Nupath Care! 👻

There were plenty of spooky smiles as everyone got into the Halloween spirit over the weekend!

Michael Hall had a brilliant time at the Percy Hedley Halloween Party, where his skeleton costume won third place in the best dressed competition taking home a hamper full of treats and a certificate! Carers Kunal and James joined in the fun too, with everyone enjoying the celebrations together.

Over at Ouseburn, Rachel Heaton along with carer Vicky Wilson had a great time at their Halloween party, while Andrew Foster celebrated with Hakeem at Tynedale Day Centre.

Barbara Ann Mitchson was all set for the trick-or-treaters in her spooky outfit and Gabrielle Nelson, joined by her pug in matching costume, looked fantastic in her witch-themed look.

It was a brilliant few days full of laughter, costumes and plenty of Halloween cheer! 🎃😈👻

A brilliant day out with the Tynedale Centre!😄

Andrew Foster and one of our care support workers, Hakeem had a fantastic time out on the bikes recently - lots of laughter, fresh air and teamwork all the way around the track.

It’s always great to see everyone enjoying being active and spending time together.🫶

Big smiles all round and a lovely reminder of how much these sessions mean to the people we support. 🚴‍♂️💙

💚 Supporting World Mental Health Day 2025 💚

Today our amazing team, service users and even some of our staff’s little ones have joined together to show support for World Mental Health Day by wearing green 💚

From our Northumberland and Gateshead branches - and even from those enjoying a well-earned day off - it’s been wonderful to see everyone getting involved to raise awareness and start conversations around mental health.

At Nupath Care, we know that mental health matters every day. A simple act like wearing green helps remind us all that no one is alone and that support is always available. 💚✨

Recognising the difference our team makes ❤️

We wanted to give a shout out to Steven Wright from our Northumberland branch, following some wonderful feedback from an RLND nurse at Hatfield Chase.

Hatfield Chase is a registered supported living facility where our support workers provide care in people’s homes and out in the community.

The nurse praised Steven for the positive difference he makes when supporting David on his enabling calls. Enabling calls are planned visits by our carers and are all about helping people take part in everyday activities, build confidence and stay connected with their community.

Steven has built a fantastic rapport with David - encouraging him to join in with activities on site and making sure he enjoys plenty of opportunities out and about. Whether it’s gardening, catching up over coffee or enjoying the sunshine, Steven helps David stay connected and confident.

Thank you, Steven, for the encouragement and positivity you bring to David’s day-to-day life 😊

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Hakeem Shosanwo 🌟

We’re really pleased to share some lovely feedback we’ve had about Hakeem Shosanwo who works at our Nupath Gateshead branch.🥰

Gemma McGinley, deputy manager at the Tynedale Centre in Hexham, which is a day service offering a range of activities for adults that we often visit with those we care for, describes Hakeem as ‘a breath of fresh air’ and praised the positive impact his one-to-one support has had.

Hakeem works with Andrew and has been a great influence on his life - encouraging him to join in with activities and helping him become more enthusiastic and positive.

When we passed the feedback on to Hakeem, he said it had made his week, and we couldn’t agree more that the recognition is well deserved.

Thank you, Hakeem, for your energy, positivity and commitment. You really do make a difference every day. 👏

🌟 A Special Birthday Break for Lee 🌟

Lee had a fantastic weekend away recently at the beautiful Thanet Well Lodge Retreat in Penrith, where he celebrated his birthday in style🎉

Supported by carers Kerry Archibald and Cheryl Cairns, Lee enjoyed a mix of relaxation and adventure. He loved unwinding in the hot tub at the lodge, taking in the stunning views and giving a big thumbs up of approval! 💦👍

For his birthday treat, Lee headed into Ambleside for a spot of shopping and also enjoyed a wonderful day out at Lakeland Wildlife Park, where he had the chance to see some amazing animals up close🛍️🦙

It was a weekend full of smiles, laughter and special memories - the perfect way to mark his birthday. 💙

🌟 Celebrating Adeeba’s Journey 🌟

We are delighted to share the incredible progress of our wonderful service user, Adeeba. When Adeeba first joined us, we supported her with 2-to-1 care in the community, focusing on building trust and relationships. Our goal was to help her restart her favourite hobbies, such as horse riding and art crafts.

Through her hard work and determination, Adeeba, who lives on Teesside, has made some great progress and is enjoying horse riding and attending art classes every week. We've also been able to reduce her support to a 1-1 basis which highlights just how well she is doing.

We're so proud of Adeeba and what she's achieved - here she is celebrating Eid recently.

🤝Recognising Loneliness Awareness Week 🤝

At Nupath Care, we understand the importance of connection and community. As it’s Loneliness Awareness Week, we’re reminded of the value of reaching out and supporting one another.

Loneliness affects people of all ages and backgrounds and it’s something that many of us experience at some point in our lives. Whether it’s a quick chat, a coffee break or just being there for someone, small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

Let’s take this opportunity to:

💙 Check in on our colleagues and friends. A simple “How are you?” can go a long way
💙 Encourage open conversations about mental health and wellbeing
💙 Share resources and support to help combat loneliness within our community

Let’s work together to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all 💙

On this day in 1944, 80 years ago, the Allied Forces launched Operation Overlord. This massive assault, designed to retake Nazi-occupied France, is known as .

A series of major commemorations in the UK and Normandy, France have been honouring the tens of thousands of brave personnel who risked their lives for freedom and peace.

Very moving watching the remaining veterans celebrating D Day. We owe them so much and remember those who gave their lives for us.

(The poem here, written in WW1, is still a poignant reminder of those that died in the Normandy landings).
