✅ Eligibility

COVID-19 Vaccine:
👉Aged 75 or over (including those who will be 75 by 31 January 2026)
👉Aged 6 months to 74 years with a weakened immune system due to a health condition or treatment

Flu Vaccine:
👉Aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2026)
👉Have certain long-term health conditions
👉Are pregnant
👉Are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
👉Live with someone who has a weakened immune system

💬 No appointment required — just walk in!
👥 Anyone eligible can attend — no need to be a registered patient.

You can now book your Covid-19 & Flu vaccination through the national booking system. You do not need to be a registered patient to do so.

Who can get the vaccine now:

👉 Anyone aged 6 months and over who is immunosuppressed

From this month, the NHS is expanding the shingles vaccination programme.

Adults aged 18+ who have a very weak immune system are now eligible for the shingles vaccine.

You don’t need to wait for an invitation — you can book at your GP practice.

⚠️ A very important message for those who may be experiencing domestic abuse and have a hidden device.

Below are instructions about how to disable the alert - which is scheduled for 3pm on Sunday.

Nationwide Emergency Alert Test — Sunday 7th September, 3pm

The UK’s new emergency alert system will send a loud siren, message, and vibration to every compatible phone even on silent. Survivors of abuse with hidden phones could be put at risk if the device is discovered.

You can opt out in your phone’s settings to protect your safety:

- iPhone: Search “Emergency Alerts” in settings → Turn off Severe & Emergency alerts
- Android: Search “Emergency Alerts” in settings → Turn off Severe & Emergency alerts (and other threat categories if listed)

💉 RSV vaccine highly effective in preventing hospitalisation

📅 If you are eligible for a vaccination you will have received an invitation link to book your appointment.

The RSV vaccine is recommended if:
➡️ You're pregnant – the vaccine is recommended during every pregnancy (from 28 weeks onwards) to help protect your baby after they're born
➡️You're aged 75 to 79

Practice Closure for Staff Training

Please note that our practice will be closed from 12:30pm on Wednesday, 16th July for staff training. We will reopen as usual on Thursday morning.

These training sessions are essential in helping us enhance the quality of care we provide to our patients.

In May, we sent 12,149 messages via the NHS App, but 4,979 of these failed because notifications were turned off. As a result, we had to send follow-up text messages instead.

Text messages cost the NHS millions of pounds each year.
