❄️ Weather Update - Snow & Cold Conditions ❄️

With Storm Goretti forecast to bring snow, ice and very cold temperatures to our area tomorrow, we want to reassure our clients, families and carers that Aurora Home Care is prepared.

The safety and wellbeing of our clients and staff is our top priority. We are closely monitoring weather conditions and have plans in place to minimise disruption to care wherever possible.

If adverse conditions do affect visits, we will communicate directly with those impacted. We kindly ask everyone to take extra care when travelling, keep warm, and check in on vulnerable neighbours where possible.

🎶🐪 The Final Hump Day – Lady Lumps, Check ’Em Out 🐪🎶

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’ve had a little fun with a very serious message. Fergie gave us one of the most recognisable lyrics of the 2000s - “My humps, my humps, my humps…” - and we’ve flipped it into something unforgettable:

👉 Check your lady lumps.

Why? Because breast cancer is the most common cancer in women in the UK. Around 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime, and every year nearly 56,000 women and 400 men are told they have breast cancer. Early checks and awareness save lives.

We chose this lyric because it’s instantly recognisable, it makes people smile, and - most importantly - it sticks. And having been performed by a strong, female artist like Fergie, it felt the perfect fit for a campaign all about women taking care of themselves and each other. Using her image throughout the campaign was designed as a simple, cheeky prompt to self-check - and we hope it’s worked.

If hearing that chorus in your head makes you pause for 30 seconds to check yourself, then this campaign has done what it set out to do.

💗 On this final Hump Day of October, remember: Lady Lumps? Check ’Em Out. Not just today, but every day.
