Help us improve maternity triage

We want to hear from women and birthing people who have been to maternity triage. Your feedback will help us make care safer, faster, and more supportive.

The survey is short, online, and confidential. You can choose if you want to take part.

It asks about things like:

· Did staff make you feel welcome?

· Were you told how long you might need to wait?

· Did you feel listened to? Help us make maternity triage better. Fill in the survey here: https://bit.ly/4oZuLU4

Apologies. There will be no contraception service at WGH this morning.

The midwife-led drop in clinic is running as usual at NTGH, Antenatal Clinic. 9am-1pm.

👶 Baby clinics give parents an opportunity to review and monitor the growth and development of their baby and ask Health Visitors questions about anything baby related!

🥦 Those eligible for the NHS Healthy Start scheme can collect their vitamins at baby clinics too, just take your Health Start card.

📅 There's eight clinics a week Monday to Thursday, just drop in at a time that works for you (or should we say works for your little one!)

🙇‍♀️ We are sorry!

There was a mix up with the antenatal class bookings last night. A session was added to Eventbrite which we were not able to deliver - please accept our apologies.

We will be running our 'Labour and Birth' class on Monday 12th January. If you booked for last night, you will automatically receive a link to join the new class, there is no need to re-book. Please check your inbox and your junk emails.

This Thursday's class - Postnatal Care - will go ahead as planned.

If you have contacted us directly, we have replied to all of your messages.

Again, we are sorry for the mix up and the disappointment this caused many of you last night.

❗❗ Formula Recall ❗❗

You may have heard or seen on the news this morning that SMA have announced a product recall on some infant formulas.

We have been informed of a recall on SMA infant formula and follow on formula. If you have purchased or been prescribed one of the batches listed in the below link, please do not feed it to your baby and speak to your Healthcare Professional for advice on an alternative.

For more information on the batch numbers affected, please see below link 👇

Please rest assured that as a trust we have taken immediate action to ensure that the products we use within our maternity settings continue to be safe for use.

🙏 Can you help 🙏

Have you got one of our short term breast pumps on loan that you are no longer require or had for had for longer than 3 weeks?

All of our breast pumps are out on loan leaving us currently with no stock to be able to support other families.

If you have a pump on loan that you no longer require or if you have been discharged from midwifery care and still have your loan pump, please ensure it is returned as soon as possible so that others can benefit from this service.

We can arrange collection if required, please leave a message in the comments and we will contact you or alternatively you can drop the breast pump into ward 16 at NSECH.

❤️Thank you to Jen for these lovely comments. Huge congratulations on the birth of gorgeous Thomas ❤️

"Thank you to your amazing theatre staff and lovely ladies in Ward 16 - after an 11 day hospital stay due to our little one being in a risky birth position towards the end of my pregnancy our Thomas was born safely via c section on 15 October. We felt safe and supported from the minute I arrived to the day we were discharged and can't thank you all enough. He was also very popular amongst many medical students due to our particular circumstances! Special thanks to Ashleigh, Maxine and Emily who took over the majority of my care towards the end of our stay🩵♥️"
