💚 Meet the Team 💚

As part of a new series, we’re excited to introduce you to the team at Orchard End Surgery 🌳

👩🏽‍⚕️Meet Dr Dineli Charlesworth, GP, who has been a valued member of our team for an impressive 22 years.

🎓 Dineli qualified at the Royal Free Hospital in London and did her GP training in Oxford.

🏡 In 1999, she relocated to Kent with her husband, Justin (also a GP at the practice). They raised their daughters here .

🩺 She is passionate about all aspects of general practice . She loves getting to know and support the community she serves. Her particular interests include young people’s health , women’s medicine and mental health. She is also an experienced coil and implant fitter.

In 2019, she co-founded Wellbeing in the Weald, a charity dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation. 🌻 It delivers a variety of activities in and around Cranbrook, helping to promote health, wellbeing, and meaningful connection.

Away from work, Dineli can often be found on Wellbeing in the Weald’s allotment 🪏, crocheting 🧶, or cycling 🚴‍♀️

🤫 Something you won’t know: She rocked a tight perm in the 80’s .

🤧 It’s that time of year again! 🤧

Many of us — but especially children 👶👧 — are unwell with upper respiratory tract infections.

Common symptoms include:
😮‍💨 Coughs
👂 Earache
😣 Sore throat

💡 The good news?
Most of these illnesses are caused by viruses, so antibiotics won’t help 💊❌ — and that’s completely normal.

Please wear a mask if you have cough, cold or flu type symptoms 😷

We’re seeing a big rise in winter respiratory illnesses, and some of our team have already been affected 🤧.

To help keep our staff and patients safe, we kindly ask:

• If you have a cough, cold or flu type symptoms, please wear a mask when you come into the surgery
• Masks are available at reception if you need one
• If you have a routine appointment but are feeling unwell, please reschedule to help stop illness spreading.
