✨ Success Story Saturday ✨
"I’ve not only got my eyesight back, I’ve got my life back too – don’t put it off.”
Mick O’Leary had cataracts removed from both of his eyes in our private hospital’s dedicated Eye Unit.
Mick went from his left eye being just about legal to drive to driving confidently at night among headlights, enjoying his Morris dancing again and returning to his job as a barber.

This World Sepsis Day, it's important to be aware of the early warning signs of sepsis:
S - Slurred speech or new confusion
E - Extreme shivering or muscle pain
P - Passing no urine (in a day)
S - Severe breathlessness
I - It feels like you are going to die

According to The UK Sepsis Trust, around 250,000 cases of sepsis occur in the UK each year. On Bensan Ward we have a Sepsis Trolley which contains all the equipment required to treat a Septic patient whilst in our hospital.
This we want to say a huge thank you to Consultant Gynaecologist, Mr Rowan Connell, whose care before and after an oophorectomy (the removal of fallopian tubes and ovaries) made a real difference to this patient’s journey. 💙
