What does 'CQC' regulated mean? ❤
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulates all health and social care services in the England.
"The commission ensures the quality and safety of care in hospitals, dentists, ambulances, and care homes, and the care given in people's own homes."
This includes Aesthetic Nurses who carry out complex treatments such as thread lifts, hyperhidrosis and Menopause management. Currently toxins (wrinkle relaxing injections), dermal fillers and chemical peels do not require CQC registration. Medics in the industry are hoping this will change in the near future, following the recent public consultation process initiated by the government, to finally regulate this unregulated industry.
Being CQC regulated means we have been checked and are being monitored by the CQC to ensure we are offering services and treatments that are safe.
We recently received a 'Good' rating in all 5 areas of the process (see website for full status and report).
When looking to get a regulated treatment as mentioned above, make sure to check their CQC status! It is a legal requirement to display it on their website with a link to the full report.
