I’ve been reading the tarot since the 1970s and from October 2010 up until 2nd May 2015 I was the resident psychic tarot reader at Mystery Mountain in Dorking, happily managing to gain a good reputation as an accurate and friendly reader. After that length of time, I felt like a change (although I miss everyone at Mystery Mountain!) so only now give individual readings in Cranleigh. Please feel free to contact me directly via Facebook Messenger if you want a reading or are interested in learning Tarot yourself.
Before you come along for your reading, it's probably a good idea to think about any issues that you want covered, or any specific questions you’d like guidance on (usually people are well aware of what these are, so it may be helpful to write them down to remind yourself). It’s worth noting that the tarot is predominantly designed to work as an oracle to answer questions, but most people want to start with a general reading, which is absolutely fine!
You’re very welcome to record your reading or take notes, so that you can refer back to them later, at your leisure. Some people go away saying that they feel uplifted or inspired, that the reading has helped them to feel more positive, or that it’s confirmed what they already felt but wanted confirmation of.
If you’re interested in learning to read the tarot, I provide either monthly group workshops or if you prefer: one to one tuition is a great way to tailor training to your own needs. You can come for individual lessons at any frequency that suits you. The great thing about The Mythic Tarot is that there are stories within each of the suits of cards which helps enormously in terms of speeding up the learning process so even if you prefer to ultimately use a different deck, the Mythic Tarot is easier to learn and will speed up your learning process. The skill in learning of course is ultimately about being able to look at a spread on the table and understand how the cards fit together - the synthesis of the groups of particular cards. It's also about confidence and, if you're using any psychic ability, about opening up to this and trusting in it.
I provide individual lessons in three quarters of an hour or hour long sessions; it's entirely up to you. The fees are: £25 for an hour and £20 for three quarters of an hour. You're very welcome to bring your own deck of The Mythic Tarot or The New Mythic Tarot (the new version is about £20 whereas the original has now become collectible, so can cost a lot more!), although a practice deck will be available. If you are keen to use a different deck, it will be a good idea to bring this along too so that you can compare the imagery in the pictures.
Monthly Tarot Training Workshops in Cranleigh (4th Friday of the month): I started these workshops in January 2019, so they’re still quite new - they run from 7.00pm and go on until about 9.00pm. All are welcome!
It’s a great way to kick start your learning if you’ve always wanted to have a go or if you’ve made a start but got stuck. There is also of course the benefit of learning with others. I plan to bring in “guinea pig” volunteers for you to practise on, once you’ve gained some confidence and obviously I will be on hand to help! You can bring along any deck with you to practise on, but I will be teaching using The Mythic Tarot as the stories in the cards will help you to learn the cards more quickly.
About Me The tarot has been of great benefit to me personally, but also, I believe, to the many people that I've read for over the years - hence why many of them regularly return for further readings. It’s been one of those wonderful things in my life that continues to fill me with awe, as the cards provide insights that time and again give a fresh perspective; I watch clients leave after a reading with "new eyes". It's a privilege and often leaves me with a strong connection to the people I've read for, whom I've only met a short while before!
I’m a psychic tarot reader, which means that as well as reading the cards, I use my psychic ability whilst I'm reading. I inherited this gift from my mother, my great-grandmother and my amazing and inspiring grandmother - who was a pianist for the silent movies, but also a respected medium - and friend of the famous healer Harry Edwards. She was also a palm, tea leaf, playing card and crystal ball reader!
I've been reading the tarot since the 1970s. I was a student in Bath when I decided to go and buy my first deck. I can't actually remember why - I just felt drawn to them and although I have a healthy curiosity about various alternative and esoteric things, it’s the tarot that I'm most at home with. I use The Mythic Tarot for readings and teaching (which I've been using since 1988). This deck is based on Greek Mythology (so having an O level in Greek Literature and Mythology was useful when I first started using it!) and has become a bit of a cult deck these days (as an aside, although I don’t read the crystal ball myself, I do like to hold my grandmother’s crystal ball whilst I’m doing readings - a respected psychic medium once told me that it was the most powerful crystal ball she’d ever held - given in true traditional style by a Romany gypsy to my grandmother in the 1930s and then from my grandmother to me in 1981).
