Research shows that learning new skills can also improve our mental wellbeing by:

The end of August brings changes for lots of us - back to school, college, and university.

For some people, this is exciting, but to others, it is the source of a lot of stress and anxiety.

One that can help is to practice deep breathing and relaxation techniques. Like all things, the more you practice, the better you get. Now is a great time to start practising so that you can take control and relax when the big day arrives.

Anxiety floods your body with stress-targeting hormones, and suddenly, everything seems overwhelming.

Grounding techniques are coping strategies that help you reconnect with the present and get out of distressing moments.

Are you struggling with a low mood, depression, or feeling like 'what's the point?'

All of these can cause fatigue, self-sabotage, lack of self-care, and even lead to dark, intrusive thoughts.

Perhaps you've been struggling with these feelings for a while, or you're starting to think they're inevitable, or even normal for you.

As hard as it is to believe, we can turn this around, just like flinging the doors and windows wide open and letting in colour and light.

If you’ve ever attempted a New Years Resolution or Lent, you’ll know that giving up a deeply ingrained habit can be a real challenge.

Smokers, for example, often struggle when trying to quit as the ni****ne hit is gone, but the daily habits and rituals remain.

It is not enough to treat the physical cravings; we also need to address these patterns of behaviour that the subconscious has associated with the habit.

This is where I can help. In as few as two sessions, I can help you reprogram your subconscious mind so that those patterns and routines no longer trigger the 'craving' and help you quit for good. As long as you truly want to stop, then you will be free from the desire, the cravings and the urges.

I wanted to share with you a testimonial from a wonderful client of mine whose fear of medical issues was preventing them from taking their blood pressure.
