Massage, skincare & select beauty treatments with Lauren Smith
Prior to training as a massage therapist myself, I spent five years living and working in southeast Asia as a spa reviewer and wellness feature writer, so I have been on the receiving end of many different massage, facial, skincare and wellness treatments. I’ve experienced the good, the bad and the awkward – and I’ve learned from all three!
My clients’ comfort is extremely important to me as I want your experience at The Wellness Garden to be one you enjoy and look forward to experiencing again. You won’t be left wondering what you should be doing before, during or after any of my treatments – I’ll always tell you exactly what to remove, what to keep on, where to place your belongings and how to lay on the treatment bed. You won’t be subjected to bright, unflattering lighting and you will never be rushed out the door after your treatment.
It’s also important that you feel comfortable with me, so I am always happy to speak to you to answer any questions, or address any concerns, before you book. As for me as a person – I’m a huge dog lover and love nothing more than spending time cuddled up to my rescue dog. My guilty pleasure is Elton John, and his was the first live concert I saw at the age of 12. I’ll be running in the 2020 Virgin London Marathon, which is terrifying but also a good thing as I’m partial to a bar of chocolate, a G&T or a glass (or more) of red wine. While I appreciate the importance of health and wellness and genuinely believe the best investment we can possibly make is in ourselves, I certainly don’t believe in depriving yourself of the things that make life enjoyable.
