Being mentally healthy doesn’t just mean that you don’t have a mental health problem.

If you’re in good mental health, you can:

make the most of your potential,cope with life, play a full part in your family, workplace, community and among friends.

Some people call mental health ‘emotional health’ or ‘well-being’ and it’s just as important as good physical health.

Mental health is everyone’s business. We all have times when we feel down or stressed or frightened. Most of the time those feelings pass. But sometimes they develop into a more serious problem and that could happen to any one of us.

Everyone is different. You may bounce back from a setback while someone else may feel weighed down by it for a long time.

Your mental health doesn’t always stay the same. It can change as circumstances change and as you move through different stages of your life.

There’s a stigma attached to mental health problems. This means that people feel uncomfortable about them and don’t talk about them much. Many people don’t even feel comfortable talking about their feelings. But it’s healthy to know and say how you’re feeling.

Can you relate with this and recognise yourself or your child? At some time in all our lives, we will find we are carrying around huge burdens, often masking our truth from the rest of our friends, family or work colleagues for fear of judgement.

Drawing & Talking simply helps you to lessen your load and give some breathing space.

Creating a safe and non judgemental space, this 12 week intervention allows you to work at unravelling all those complicated emotions and experiences, at your own pace.

Please have a read and check out how amazing my bestie is. She is going above and beyond for her colleagues and our NHS. Without the NHS, we would be in a very different situation right now. The ambulance service is over worked and underpaid, with everyone's mental health taking a hit. These guys are amazing. 73.4 miles of swimming is crazy! But thats one length for everyone of her colleagues, and that is INSPIRATIONAL. Please give what you can, to support our front line when they need us the most ❤️

This year's focus for *Mental Health week* is nature. Can you try and add something into your week to allow you to spend some time with nature? Here's some ideas....

🌟Yoga outside
🌟Plant some new flowers
🌟Use your sense to see what new things you can discover
🌟Take the longer walk home and explore
🌟Visit that national trust place you keep thinking about
🌟Go and feed the ducks
🌟Find some leaves you can take home and do some leaves pressing with!

There are so many ways to remember how amazing nature can be! Get out there and give it a go! 🌻🌳

With recent figures suggesting that 2/3 of students are experiencing a decline in their mental health and emotional well being, the strain on the NHS is greater than ever! There needs to be more access to low cost, short term therapeutic techniques like Drawing and Talking.
