✨Well this week has been different! I’ve felt a meaningful shift ….
I had the privilege of co-hosting the Integrated Health Summit at Kings College London with my team at Qualitas Consortium, bringing together leaders from the corporate sector, public services, and the NHS, partnering with Wellbeing at Work Corporation and the Society of Occupational Medicine.
As a Reflexologist also working within the wider healthcare landscape, I’m increasingly aware of the value we bring at the intersection of preventative care, patient experience and workplace wellbeing. There’s a growing recognition that complementary therapies have a role to play… not on the sidelines… but as part of a more integrated, person-centred approach to health.
Amazing to meet Lord Victor Adebowale CBE (Chair of NHS Confed) and hearing him open the day with a call to address health inequalities and challenge the inverse care law, setting a powerful tone.
Then followed panel discussions and interactive workshops with medical & wellbeing leaders from Ernst & Young, BP, and the NHS that reinforced that improving health outcomes especially in the workplace requires genuine collaboration and trust across disciplines. Also so insightful to identify challenges, share innovation and drive critical thinking around more responsive systems of care.
Proud to be part of a conversation that is evolving towards more joined up, whole person care. We are not there yet but it was eye opening to see and hear that it’s on top level radar! Plus it was soooo fun (great curry for lunch 😆) and I met some lovely people and enjoyed a day out with my team 🤍
