As we get older we get more weighed down -
Experiences, life events, expectations, everyday pressures…the list goes on 🤦🏻♀️
Before we know it, we’ve lost enjoyment for the little things & it can become a case of just getting through another day 😕
But what if when we opened our eyes in the morning we smiled? Not suddenly weighed down with the weight of the world and yesterday’s problems, but smiling that there is a brand new day ahead with a brand new fresh opportunity to start again…☀️
I’m pretty sure that’s what happens with my 6 year old son every morning - the moment he opens his eyes, he smiles 🙂 And he’s inspired me to do the same thing & see if it has any impact on my day!
When we smile our brain triggers the release of “feel-good” chemicals such as dopamine, endorphins & serotonin 🧠 These chemicals help to improve mood, reduce stress & promote a sense of well-being ☺️
